The 5.0 makes plenty of power down low. For street cars if you really want more consider the Ford tune which adds considerable torque down low (60 lb-ft increase at 1500 rpm).
It won't hurt the engine but over time is extra wear and tear somewhat. I just don't see the reason for cruising at that rpm around town for periods of time upshifting just makes more sense.
No reason to insult the guy unless he said he had long tube headers and no mufflers..
Was on there for 6 years was good up til about a year a a half ago. It must of looked like a cluster phuck to you. Apparently Ford sucks and I never got the memo.
My opinion on the SS vs GT is that the SS is much faster on a slightly better chassis with less weight. The GT is still plenty fast but behind. Also wondering why C&D was 4 seconds slower to 150 this time around. Either they weren't trying or driver mod needed.
Ford rarely ever upgrades engines after one year. The mid cycle refresh will likely be 2018 maybe 2017. Maybe it will get more power if the new 10 spd automatic arrives.
It would be great if the person doing that kind of driving actually intended on buying the car. Sales staff shouldn't be allowing that kind of behavior in the first place.
Found this online last night. I like the Motorcraft 5w50 full syn but will try this next time in my '13 5.0 track pack. http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/gasoline/sae-5w-50-signature-series-100-percent-synthetic-motor-oil/
I use 5w-50 in my '13 track pack. Good oil that I change once a year. Haven't found any alternatives except Redline 5w-50. Does the performance pack use 5w-50 as well?
Fits any 2008 4.6 with PCM calibration 8R3A-12A-650-PB. Will not separate the tuner from the intake. Used 6 months til I traded on a 2013 5.0. Asking $250.00. Email [email protected] if interested.
I have the 3.73 Torsen in my 2013 Track Pack. If you guys have any questions feel free to ask. My recommendation is to go with the 3.55 with the GT if you want something ideal for a daily driver or occasional race on the strip or track. If you run track often the Performance package is the...
There is even a big difference going to 3.73 from 3.55. My last Mustang was a 2008 4.6 manual with the 3.55 and my 2013 5.0 3.73 with the Track Pack gets 2-3 mpg less on a tank and highway. Granted I drive the Coyote more aggressively and it is barely broken in and haven't been o on the highway...
