  1. 2021 MUSTANG (S650) - 7th Generation Mustang Confirmed

A V8 has to be optional at least even at a significant premium. At the minimum a twin turbo 4.0-4.2 V8 is acceptable.
  2. 2017/2018 Mach 1 Mustang Mule?

. Was talking about a new Coyote based 5.4.
  3. 2017/2018 Mach 1 Mustang Mule?

Yet some say a 5.2L displacement is too big for a flat plane crank engine. Seen hints Ford could increase the stroke on the Coyote so naturally you think they would combine that with the bigger bore. Either way I'm thinking something unique with at least 500 hp and 450 torque.
  4. 2017/2018 Mach 1 Mustang Mule?

No reason to increase the displacement makes no sense since that means less power. If the spy reports are right about the beefed up rear diff I would say my opinion makes more sense unless it is a supercharged version of the 5.0, which I doubt for a Mach 1 that needs the functional hood scoop.
  5. 2017/2018 Mach 1 Mustang Mule?

Read somewhere Ford could get more stroke out of the Coyote. Combine that with the 5.2 block and 5.4L of displacement is possible.
  6. 2017/2018 Mach 1 Mustang Mule?

I was hoping the last gen would get the Mach 1 with a N/A version of the 5.8 Trinity. I'd like to see the 2018 Mach 1 to get a 5.4L version of the Coyote with the regular crank and 500hp 475lb-ft of torque.
  7. February 2016 Mustang Sales

The seating position is horrible and is my take on why sales haven't exploded like the GM fans predicted.
  8. February 2016 Mustang Sales

I don't see the 4 turbo nowhere nears as popular as the Ecoboost is for the Mustang. I sat in a 2016 V6 Camaro last week and it has two big flaws that might be hurting sales; price and seating position. It reminds me of the old F-body with a real low seating position like the Corvette and a huge...
  9. Will Ford Up the Ante on `17 Model Mustangs?

I would think that Ford is trying to lighten the car in the near future since fuel economy requirements will force Ford to. Just not sure if it will happen 2018 MY or 2020+. More power and gears will be coming.
  10. Who else is here without a Stang?

Yesterday I did a build and price on a 2016 Mustang GT premium. Really tempted to get rid of my '13 but need to buy a house first. Built a premium with 20" wheels, Nav, premium leather, 3.55 axle, manual trans, for $39,800. Great deal has more than my 2013 premium track pack and sticker about...
  11. My air conditioner already died and things are falling apart

I've owned four Mustangs over the last 15 years and never had problems witb exception of a shorted seat heater and occasional shuddering clutch on my 2008 GT. My 2000 V6, 2003 GT, and 2013 GT were all flawless. The 2013 has great quality just oil changes. If the aftermarket intercooler is...
  12. Insurance is through the roof!

Same here although I'm sticking with them because I don't believe intro rates from other companies. $900 every 6 months for a GT350 driven 4,000 miles annually seems steep. I'd definitely shop around on that. I pay $610 every 6 months on my Coyote although USAA just dropped my rates this premium.-
  13. '16 Camaro Reviews are starting to hit the sites.

I'm lost in the current discussion on here. Either way the Camaro is lighter and faster than the Mustang. I seriously hope Ford has lightening efforts in the refresh in addition to power improvements. The news about the Voodoo getting an update for 2017-2018 has me hoping Ford has the 5.0 Coyote...
  14. Drove a '16 GT, was not very fast

Up until the LT1, the Coyote was as fast as the LS3 Camaro so not sure why the Camaro is a muscle car while the Mustang isn't. Putting a cam in a GM smallblock will shift the powerband up in the rev range and kill the bottom end and still is considered a muscle car.
  15. Ecoboost Engine Blown?

Sorry to hear about your car Matrix. Finding the cause of failure will tell who is at fault here I'd make Ford prove it. Great reason why I don't mod my cars when new. Once the warranty is up I know it was built well so a well designed mod should cause no problems. I'm going with the Ford Racing...
  16. Drove a '16 GT, was not very fast

Running through the gears the Coyote is fast. Being in a high gear at low rpms has a little lag initially below 2,500 rpm. A tune can fix that from what I hear even Ford Racing canned tune.
  17. '16 Camaro Reviews are starting to hit the sites.

I find it unusual the SS weighs exactly what GM quotes in Motor Trend. Regardless GM did a heck of a job on the alpha Camaro making it lighter and giving it full Corvette power instead of detuning it. Your move next Ford hopefully some lightening and power tweaks can be done on the S550.
  18. Drove a '16 GT, was not very fast

It all depends on what you're used to and it being brand new. Once it gets 3k-5k miles it will feel better. Not being used to short gearing in the MT82 with a 3.73 takes getting used to coming from a C6.
  19. Cruising at 3k RPM daily - Safe?

Yes last gen. Not sure why the tune isn't ready for the 2015 yet and curious what kind of gains it will get. Hopefully some good low end torque which is all this car needs. The midrange and upper rpms are crazy good.
  20. Cruising at 3k RPM daily - Safe?

The 5.0 makes great torque down low below 2,000 rpm in my opinion. For those that disagree it was tuned it to be that way probably so they could sell you the Ford Racing tune, which adds 60 lb-ft at 1,500 but only 7 over peak torque. I agree it feels a bit soft at low rpms which is better...
