  1. "R" Rear Wing Paint Issue

Dealer repainted mine (was not defect - just chipped). Came out great. They outsource their paint work. Warranty covered it. Yours could be carbon defect. That obviously will be a different outcome.
  2. Let's get serious about track tires for GT350

I switched to the Porsche CUP2s on my R and run 305s all the way around on the Carbon rims. No question they last longer. I am pushing the car as much as I was in the Regular CUPs. The regular CUPs would last me about 3 or 4 days running 3 to 4 - 20 minute sessions each day at MSR Cresson...
  3. Replaced Voodoo Engine

Thanks for the reply. It looks like a part number but I could be wrong. I have a great relationship with my service manager. They are going to check into it. Not that it really matters or I can do much about it :). Car is under warranty and running great again.
  4. Replaced Voodoo Engine

Here is my paperwork from an engine replacement months ago. Curious as the top part says HR3Z 6006 A but when you read down it shows 6007A34 Remanufactured Engine/OEM Long Block. I have an R.
  5. Why did you sell your GT350?

Gorgeous Car!!!! Sick backdrop. Must have been a blast driving on those roads and picking it up from Porsche.
  6. Why did you sell your GT350?

Yep. Agreed. I am a manual guy as well but would opt for the PDK GT3 for track use. Hoping my second engine is rock solid. Had it at the track 4 times since and so far, so good.
  7. Why did you sell your GT350?

Thanks for the feedback! Makes sense. The T is a gorgeous car so again congrats on your purchase. I am heavily involved in tracking so I get what you are saying. I would have to go for a used GT3 based on prices. Hopeful they will come down but man they hold their value. What I love about...
  8. Why did you sell your GT350?

My bucket list is a GT3 as I am a track junkie but don't have the funds yet. I have an R and love it. Interesting comments you make. I wonder if you had it at 9K at the track you would have felt different about it?
  9. Why did you sell your GT350?

Curious if you were contemplating the GT3 vs the "T" or another model Porsche? Was it a cost decision, daily driver decision, etc? I love my R even after I have had one engine replaced. Dedicated track the car. I used to track a 997.1 and am a big Porsche fan. My dream car is the GT3 but...
  10. Running the 325/30/19 Porsche spec Cup 2's on rear R rims

Locally I use these guys (they should be national). They have the right Hunter machine and they do an awesome job at my house. https://on-sitetires.com
  11. Running the 325/30/19 Porsche spec Cup 2's on rear R rims

I am running these tires. I am no expert but here are my thoughts. Are you tracking the car much? I only track my car and it is an R. The tires are definitely holding up more than regular CUP 2's. Not sure I would run anything higher than a 305 if you are tracking the car. My lap times...
  12. Looking for a reliable dealer

Don Randall is the service manger at Autonation Ford Frisco. Has taken great care of my 350R. Including repainting my rear Spoiler, new engine in 7 days and installed out the door (when it blew up at the track), and just got me new front rotors under warranty even though I run it hard at the...
  13. Replaced Voodoo Engine

I had posted this a while back. This happened at the track at around 2,600 miles. My R is only tracked - not a DD. I redid the break in and have been back to the track once so far. Hoping to get out again this week. What I am more curious about is the failure rate on engine #2. I am hoping...
  14. GT 350/R Positive Post my top 10.

The biggest compliment I can give this car is my engine blew up about a month ago. Ford dealer had me taken care of in less than a week. I am just about done with my break in and anxiously awaiting the track to drive it like I stole it. Mine is mainly track oriented and I love it.
  15. Replaced Voodoo Engine

    Thanks for putting this together.
  16. Replaced Voodoo Engine

FYI - for TLISOTTA - model year was 2017. Not sure build date. June 8th would be my post date.
  17. Replaced Voodoo Engine

You have me as tlisotta. I could not update the XLS so here are some details: Mileage was about 2650. It is a 2017 build - GT350R. Looks like (hard to read) engine builders are Darr Larson and Josh Frameele
  18. Interesting. Anyone see this new billet oil pump with billet OPG froFord Performance?

I hear ya but there is risk and you would have to fight I am sure. Wasn't worth it for me as I have experienced a blown engine. My service manager had the engine delivered in 3 days and installed in 2. Great service so I trust what he said.
