Like others, this is getting frustrating! Just got home from the dealer. We're at twenty-five days since the build. The sales manager, a friend, knows nothing, and the district rep who is new, knows nothing. He "thinks" the Mexican-steering-wheel saga might be the issue based on knowing some...
Again, my GT was supposedly built two weeks ago and is sitting in the lot(s) at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Called my salesman an hour ago. He knows it's built and his sales manager has called the district rep. He said he'd go the fifteen miles to get it (but of course isn't allowed). So, he...
Did see those before and do like the look. While your point of buying appropriate tires after the current tires wear out is valid, it will take me a long time to get there since my GT is in transit,The 18 x 8's will fit my new tires or vice versu, but the wheel isn't spec'd for 2019's. Thanks...
According to Ford Vehicle Order Tracking, mine is in the fourth phase, in transit. Built March 22nd. and eight days in transit to go fifteen miles. So, theoretically it should be at the dealer. Hope it's not like in the old days when you didn't want a Friday build with temporaries replacing the...
At breakfast this morning my buddy mentioned that a friend works at Flat Rock and had been on temporary layoff for a couple of weeks. So that correlates to the above. Didn't hear about the steering wheel dilemma which might be why mine is built but not delivered.
I guess mine wasn't too bad, but then again I don't have it either. Took a run today through the dealer's area where they keep orders. Nothing yet. When I ordered I think the salesman said six to eight weeks which I think is the standard answer for any vehicle. I'm surprised at the above two...
Don't know what a normal build time has been but this was eight weeks. Supposedly, there's some problem with getting it trucked to the dealer. I'd guess the assembly plant is fifteen miles away. Likely, it will ride to somewhere else first. I just wanted it in time for spring, read end of...
Wow! Pricing must be unbelievable in your sales district. I'm retired Ford so get the "Z" plan which at one time was below dealer wholesale (don't know about now). This is Ford territory - Detroit sales district which covers SE Michigan so likely doesn't have as good of incentives as others. Of...
I get Z Plan and get an invoice copy. Per your link (below) all plans are supposed to get an invoice.
1. Amount listed on invoice for line item labeled “A/Z” Plan, “D” Plan or “X” Plan. Copy of Invoice must be given to the $ customer.
It should come with the GT raised blade deck lid spoiler. Knowing nothing about the GTCS spoiler, is it only available through Ford or is there an aftermarket or I guess non-Ford made version?
Thanks for the info. I'm assuming by looking at it, that it's not going to fit in the existing holes so therefore body work. Also, only available from Ford?
I'm definitely a Ford guy. Not too neutral because I'm a retired Ford engineer and wouldn't "bite the hand that feeds me". Some would say if it was a used vehicle, I could justify a Brand X as that money is not going to a competitor. Some years ago, my wife just had to have a '57 Chevy and a '60...
I have a 2019 GT on order. I now prefer a rear spoiler that would be similar to my '70 Mach 1 which has two short pedestals and a blade with turned down ends. First off, is there one currently available like that? Second, does the factory blade interfere with mounting it or would it look odd if...
