I also am not too mobile having had a year ago, a spinal decompression op, and will have to get help when installing it. I am in Sydney, eastern suburbs, and hope it doesn't take 6 weeks to get here. I thought that they all ame from from Dandenong not Sydney. Off topic I bought something in the...
I have had the seat out before, when I installed SmartTop, and when I get the seat cover I will document it. I expect I will put some more velcro in especially if the front skirt is too short.
Have they improved over time. I have been using a sheet but with the headrest fixing there does not seem to be much room to secure it. My dog, all 50Kgs of him, moves around and could unintentionally pull it apart. How good/secure are the fixings and does it have velcro to hold things in place...
Thanks TasGT I just ordered for the back as well.
My daily, Jeep GC, also has Supertrim back seat but what I notice is that the front skirt is not long enough. I asked if he could make it a bit longer for the 'vert. He said he would discuss it with the guy who is making it.
How is yours...
Is this the same as on the Shelby Speedster also what needs doing before you can put the top up and how long does it take to do it. I assume the seats etc stay in place or do they have to be removed.
You have done a terrific job on your vert and looks like I may follow. My only serious mod is a...
As my post said it is Imperial mpg NOT US mpg. The conversion factor to US mpg is 0.83333 so 31 x 0.83333 = 25.8 US mpg. And if you had read the post you would have seen that it is an auto and I also said in the post that I was cruising at 110Kph which is approx. 68mph. In fact over here...
That is 9.1 litres per 100 kilometres, 100K equals 62 miles and as it took 9.1L and there is 4.54 litres per Imperial gallon it has consumed 2 gallons per 62 miles which is 31mpg. not 6
On a trip, IE not city/daily driving, I can get up to about 700 Kilometres or about 430 miles. The photo was taken on a trip with roof down and at our speed limit of 110 KPH or about just under 70MPH. My car is a MY17 converible auto GT .I had travelled 245K or about 150 miles and the DTE...
Thanks that confirms my thoughts on timing and it sounds reasonable.
In the meantime I am adding a few things which I would take off and put on the new one. .Although my convertible is fairly solid I would like to make it more so I am buying/bought a strut tower brace and a Steeda (2 point)...
I have a Yellow 17 GT vert and would like to trade up to a 2020 model.
However the Ford brochures show that Yellow is not shown.
Just went to the Thompson Ford site and in their build it section it does shows that Yellow is available. Is this correct?
I have a 17 convertible that has done about 4k in 18 months. I have done a few trips, always with the hood down and usually at the speed limit, in it but most use is local in heavy traffic. I have kept a spreadsheet since I got it and the stats are:
Average L/100km = 16.8 or 16.8mpg
Best...
Installed the module today and very happy with it. Appreciate all the advice as it certainly made it easier to be forewarned of potential issues. I hot glued the module rather than use the double sided patch.
I asked for my SYNC 3 to be updated when it was in the other day to have some work done and they said that it had been. Then I checked and it had not and the service guy fessed up that there was a problem with some head units and it would have to be taken out to be updated. Not sure I want this...
My GT convertible has just had it’s first annual service and I do not think they have updated SYNC3 and Maps. Mine are SYNC 3 = 2.2 and Maps = ANZ 1 15.
What are the latest version of each and should I get the dealer to install both, if they are out dated, or can I do it myself. Also what...
Thanks I was hoping it would be straightforward and it seems to be. Looking forward to be able to open/close while moving.
I had a 2003 Holden (Opel/Vauxhall) Astra convertible that I operated the hood up to 40kph(~25 mph) even though it was supposed to work only when stationery and I never...
