Easily my favorite, even though it kind of makes me want to price out lowering springs. if someone could chop it a couple inches closer to the ground it would be perfect!
right next to where mine says "Unscheduled - Clean" is also says "statusDateTime": "2014-06-10 14:14:48" which is the supposed order date, so I'm not sure that means anything in my case.
I think the better takeaway is that when drawing from a litany of cars to chose from, he chose to compare it to German sports cars and the V8 F-type, implying that he may feel those cars now being cross-shopped, at least a little. Which IMO bodes very well for the mustang
I ordered 5/25 (however it looks like the dealer didn't input the order until 6/10)
was just told a week 42 build week, which lands in october 13th timeframe. COTUS still shows order processing, no VIN
X-plan retail order, priority 10
I'm getting the EB with performance pack. so a good set of summer tires, but a set of wheels of which I am not a fan. So, my plan is to put winters on the stock black rims pretty much even before I drive it off the lot (which is very depressing in and of itself), and then once springs rolls...
I posted this in another thread but it may be a bit more relevant here. It's for the ecoboost so take it for what you will.
it looks like if you upgrade to the PP the 3.55 gears may make you shift to third, whereas if you had the standard suspension you would not. Not sure how this will...
for comparison the 2014 v6 with PP,and automatic transmission did 0-60 in 5.8s and the 1/4mile in 14.4 at 98.5mph, so at least in this instance it seems to compare favorably with last years model, except for the trap speed, I guess.

ok, so if a dealer is specifically showing inventory in the database then they will have a car in stock? this doesn't seem reliable since we know it shows up in their inventory even when the order is still processing in COTUS.
I mean is there a public list of the "specific dealers" that ford...
is it bad that when he pointed out all the room in between the engine and the core support I couldn't help but think "hmm, you could probably fit a V10 in there" ?
yea I agree, in the real world 0-60 doesn't tell the whole picture. but marketing might have some issues if the PP ecoboost is slower to 60 (or 62.5) than the base ecoboost...
I was looking at the product information book that was posted and saw that the V8 gets a different set of transmission gears than the EB and V6.
not surprising but I wanted to see how that affected the cruise rpm/shift points, etc. so i took what i had threw it into a speed in gears...
I have to say, you really need to see this color in person. I know some people have and still love it, but I was not in that boat. Not trying to come off as a hater, but I would really like to stress that this is one you really need to see with your own eyes. any dealer should be able to tell...
does anyone know the difference between the various trackign sites
my order doesn't work on www.cotus.ford.com or www.cotusb.ford.com but I recently ran across wwwqa.cotusb.ford.com and low and behold it works. this was consistent for ie, firefox and chrome on my computer.
also just checked...
Don't the base trim models put the screen for the backup camera into the mirror? If thats true, I would suspect its the reason for having so many unused pins. Not that all mirrors have a screen in there, just part of a larger effort to reduce the number of parts and tooling.
I wonder if someone didn't overhear "all orders up to this point will be delivered by January" and then ran with that as the last possible date for any order they currently have. Without anything actually coming from Ford, this is just a big long crappy frustrating game of telephone. I just...
people should also be aware that carbon fiber hoods and body parts aren't that impressive from a weight savings perspective when the original part is aluminum. If the stock hood is steel, yea it can be significant, but on cars I've had with aluminum hoods the $/lb ratio was pretty much crap...
I went with the DIB/saddle combo but I'm still wishy-washy on it. I'm not so sure about the red on blue. But it's up to you and what you like. On the page below there is a 1 series that should give you an idea of what those colors look like together. Even if it is not exact...
