A detuned S55 would have been great on the m2, or, even a bigger turbo. Just think of the after market potential for very little cash had they done either.
I expect the GT350 to best the M4 on track let alone a M2. Right now I find the GT350 the more intriguing of the two, sticker price...
I got a 80+ mile round trip commute and just cringe at putting those miles daily on a GT350. I did just receive official word that I need to vacate my office and can work remote whenever I want. A GT350 is back in the mix for my next ride since I will only drive in once a week or two or never.
Apples and oranges comparison, totally different cars, similar driving styles likely won't net same results. Have you factored in additional insurance, maintenance costs? Your looking at a set of tires every year.
Saga gets more and more interesting as the trickled information gets released.
This is certainly more car than I need for a DD but damn Ford is making it tough to pass up on.
IMO the most interesting AFFORDABLE vehicle of the year. Sure wish they would ala cart the options. Base price...
Hit a pot hole last week that took out my passenger front and rear tire. Fluke situation but it happens. I was itching to ditch my run flats but they were pretty damn impressive when their time to shine presented itself.
2016 production will start next month with a potential bump in hp for the m235i. More tuning options become avail every month. Not many m235i's are sitting on dealer lots, if you order at this stage in game, order a 2016
Good data and thanks for putting it together.
This is a huge win for Ford and the Mustang and without a doubt the camaro lost sales to the mustang and challenger. I calculated around 1k more units then a couple years ago and the mustangs numbers are huge considering only 1k more total sales...
Excellent rendering chris. All I can say is wow, that is one sexy drop top. I'm not a convertible person but I would consider something that looked that good with the top down,
Interesting.
Talk about the potential to piss on the competition if this was to debut at next years Detroit auto show. Its possible and would be a brutal move if played.
^^^^ This not to mention what your budget allows.
I have a 80 mile round trip commute to work. I would love to do that in a V8 but its just not practical. Turbo 6 or bust for me. STS-v turbo 6 is looking pretty sweet to me.
I need a DD first and want all the creature comforts. I would love to see a street variant for 50 - 55k and a "laguna Seca" z/28 competitor variant for 60 - 65k. I also want transmission choice of auto or manual. I really hope Ford reveals my next car.
Agree with beating a car you have 100hp and damn near as much torque not an accomplishment. Disagree with it being uglier than a 1 but beauty is in the eye and I am sure you will find your fair share that say the same about the S550 being uglier than the S197.
The M235i target audience is not...
No room for improvement??? Based on the Pobst video there is nothing that needs improving on the 1le. Guess while ford was busy bench marking against BMW and Porsche they forgot about their main competition which is a last year run, dated heavy ass 1LE. It only gets worse in 2016
The Pobst video was the one I was waiting on and after watching that video I would wait. Trounces ???? wow When your talking true head 2 head comparison this is it and IMO where the bar was set for the s550.
I'd be like m235i or camaro after watching this, just think what a new...
