that depends on how the save the weight. Using expensive materials would cost more. If Ford made the car smaller you would have weight savings because material isn't there. haha I don't believe the 6th gen camaro uses any exotic materials. They built a smaller chassis/car when compared to the...
Wish Ford got the weight lower on the 2015. Like the Camaro did with their new chassis. Oh well, car runs well reguardless.
Would be cool to see if the converter will get the 60' times down. Deep in the 1.2 on a IRS would be awesome. Good for testing parts and marketing. lol
Ya, that is inpressive to be in the 1.29 range on a stock converter. I can imagine some testing on a converter would further help that 60' time.
I was just curious on the weight. I figured it isn't a light weight so was curious.
The car is working well. Congrats.
I have read that thread. In it you mention you have a converter to test. Buy no mention of it being replaced. So are you still on the stock converter? It also doesn't mention weight after the changes of rollbar, 9" and so on. Was just curious.
Awesome dedication to get it done! Congratulations
Was this with an aftermarket torque converter or are you still using the new one?
Do you know what the car weighs? I know you made some changes with the brakes, 9" and so on. Curious where it is at now.
I saw on FB you guys were testing the Holley Snyper EFI intake. Are you guys testing several intakes with results being posted on StangTV? Or just the Holley intake versus the stock 2015 GT intake?
I would pass on the intake cover. But am ready to buy the intake, throttle body and vacuum line kit (depending on price). Moving the EVAP hand vacuum hoses really cleans it up. I did the same with my 2011 GT & CJ intake. Worth the effort for sure.
His best pass was a 0.064 quicker than another pass at the same test and tune. It wasn't 50 passes with all identical slips except for one as in your example. It isn't even close to a 0.2 difference as in your example. A 0.064 difference isn't an unbelievable improvement that a new combo...
It's a lie? So you are saying the equipment is telling a lie? What is good for one pass prior isn't good enough for the next? Because he didn't make another pass that matched the time is a lie? I think that is an exaggeration. Many times at a test and tune people make changes and improve through...
Re read my post. I posted by mistake before I was done typing. Then my phone locked up. I was editing the post as you made your last post.
I wish ford used a 6060 or T56 in the Mustang. But I don't see that happening in a ecoboost GT. Sadly.
I understand frustration with the dealers and the mt82. I had bought a used 2011 GT and when I test drove it I knew there was issues. When I spoke with a buddy who is the transmission tech at a Ford dealer he said he had not heard of any issues like I was talking about. Including the TSB for the...
Just because it didn't back it up doesn't mean it didn't run the numbers. It isn't a record, just a personal best. Even guys who set NHRA records in competition still have personal bests that are not the record. You didn't initially explain where you got your numbers from. It didn't match the...
Since you are correcting might as well correct his quicker 12.086 @ 119.31 to 11.997 @ 120.18 at sea level.
OP, Get a sticky tire, test to get the 60' down and play with the shift points. You might see a low 11, dare I say high 10, out of the combo. Good luck!
Or a driver not using all the pedal travel. Rev matching goes a long way as well. Not saying that is the case here. But I have seen many people drive these cars and they are at least partially to blame. Seat way too far back to shift or push the clutch pedal enough. Stuff like this. One guy told...
