  1. Where are people stowing cell phone in car?

https://ibolt.co/navigator/ipro2-combo-mfi-car-dock I took an old cigarette lighter gooseneck, and adapted their mount to it.I will take a picture in the next day or so for you.Or you can just use the mounts that come with the kit.I like this mount because it is powered,no more plugging cables in.
  2. New member - 16 Roush S3

Welcome my Roush brother.I do not think there are many of us on here. Here are some pictures of the tail lights and windows tinted. Be very careful with those tires. They are outright dangerous.I still can not understand how roush is letting these cars out with them. They will spin at...

Just turned 50.Race engine builder/machinist,master craftsman. Started working for Richie Zul (ex pro-stock racer) in the eighties. We did mostly high dollar offshore marine engines and took quite a few championships over the years. Went on to help Bill Mitchell/Hardcore Racing get his crate...
  4. wiring question

Grumblin....I see 2 potential problems. 1st is you are now running full amp power into 20 or 22 gauge wire to feed the crossover. The woofer needs the most power, then the mid, then the tweeter in that order. The woofer is using the max of that gauge wire by itself. You are pulling the mid and...
  5. Acorns, A Hate Letter

Angelo @ Dent Professional. 516-628-3030. A guy named drew that works for angelo fixed my dents.Very good work, and amazing watching them do it.Most dent guys on long island are a pain to deal with. They like to do mostly dealer and easy jobs. My body shop buddy referred him too me,and he was...

  7. Audio Upgrade issues Help

You can not order a PAC TR-4 from anyone here in the states?I would try and get one wired in if you can.You want the processor to come on first, then the amp.The audison has a in and out turn-on lead to do just that. You could leave the ford amp plugged in and just tap off the blue/green to the...
  8. Visiting NYC Next Month

Paul,if you are coming out onto long island, please come by and see me at my place. It is about 10 more minutes east from levittown.Trust me,it is worth walking around the showroom. www.skspeed.com. We are one of the oldest east coast speed shops still around.I will make sure to bring my car the...
  9. Audio Upgrade issues Help

Here is the factory plug schematic. Pin #1 the blue/green tracer is the 6 volt amp turn-on. Get yourself a PAC TR-4 low voltage trigger. It has a slight delay in it,plus gives out 12 volts. Problem solved! :D
  10. Audio Upgrade issues Help

Gotcha....I have 0 experience with the audison line.I just took a quick glance at the 2
  11. Audio Upgrade issues Help

Isn't the bit 1 low level and the bit 10 high level inputs?I have never used either so maybe I am mistaken.
  12. Audio Upgrade issues Help

I have to agree with midlife.Disconnect the factory amp and pull the low level feed from there. I also think you need a audio bit one....not the bit ten.
  13. Crossover Question

I am running the jl audio xd 600/6 and have played around with the slopes.Yes a passive coil is abit power hungry, but the system sounds better running wide open with the crossover at the speaker ,not by limiting the signal feeding it. Just my 2 cents....ymmv
  14. Hertz Mille Installation

    Thank you,,,thank you,,thank you gentlemen.
  15. Improve your aftermarket audio build starting point!

Tonight I loaded OEM Radio's file into the ACM.All I can say is WOW!!! This takes the install to the next level of performance. All of the nasty processing that ford has put in is extinct. All I can say is if you have put a amp and speakers in,this is the cherry on the sundae...the final tweek...
  16. Crossover Question

That unit seems too cheap to be of any quality.Just my observation,I could be wrong. It may add more noise than do you any good.Check out http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/cross.asp. You can make your own.All it needs is a coil choke wired into the positive lead. They have calculators on that...
  17. RCA from pre amp

http://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/346910160_sd.pdf. If you change the last digit from a 0 to a 1....ie 34690 to 34691 you get a 90* pinout. You can the cut and bend the pins up and solder onto them much easier than using the straight pin.It is really easy for the pre-out plug,as all of the pins...
  18. wiring question

I don't know where the splice is.That is why I separated the crossover into sections.
  19. RCA from pre amp

If you buy the same plug with 90 degree pins, the top row of pins that you need are longer. You can cut them back and spread them if needed.
  20. RCA from pre amp

Bill and others......look up my JL audio amp thread. What I did was use a breadboard that mounts the plug and gives you copper lands to solder the wires in.
