Again, if you don't bleed blue, great. But you missed the point. Ford isn't "toying" with anyone. Ford is, more than likely trying to keep the weight and power numbers hushed as long as possible, to keep ALL of their competitors at bay as long as possible. When the numbers are released, the...
Emphatically, NOOOOO! You couldn't be more wrong, or a more Fair-weather Fan. I can't believe how many Crybabies we've gotten on this site, recently!
Ford does not owe you, me, or anyone else anything! First and foremost, they are a sales company. Why wouldn't they open up the order...
Am I the only one here that sees this as just propaganda and 'pot stirring'?
â—Ź First off, even the title of the thread says "RUMOR".
â—Ź Secondly, do you think there might be some sort of bad blood between FoMoCo and Steeda (recently) that may have instigated a backlash like this? Think about...
No such luck here. I never had it in the first place, though. When you click the "click here to continue" it just takes you to Ford's main configurator with the '14 Mustang.
I have been waiting for a confurator since NOVEMBER! And they took it down before I even had a chance to play with it!
You aren't giving us weight & performance numbers, you keep changing package details, and now we can't even play with the confurator to daydream... yer startin' ta piss me...
I suspected a GT500, MONTHS ago, when Pericak stated that 'the 5.4L would fit, with some work'. I'm paraphrasing, but it was something along those lines.
I agree about the leather "option". However, there is a fairly simple and comparable option: Order a base GT with cloth, then swing on over to Katzkin and get the exact seats you want. :headbang:
It depends upon what you consider "drab". I submit to you Exhibit A: "Eleanor". If you indeed find this color and stripe combo "drab", I suggest that you, Sir, are a Crack Smoker!
Umm... they're service TECHS... do you honestly believe that they wouldn't have a way around the "programable key"? Third party "tuners" can REMAP your engine, but Ford Techs can't get around a preprogrammed key? Seriously?
I don't think it's guaranteed in any way, shape or form, or else how would Dave Pericak 'know that it fits'? Why would they even bother trying to shoehorn it into the S550? It would be a waste of time and money if they never planned on SOME version of the S550 getting the 5.4/5.8 somewhere...
I thought I read somewhere that Ford was carrying over both the Coyote engine AND the aluminum 5.4L. If this is true, there is NO WAY Ford would take a backwards step in their succession lineup by taking the 5.4L from the GT500 and put it in a GT350  "IF" a GT350 (or Mach 1) is in the...
Not to be contrary for the sake of it, but I think Ford made the font gold, because in marriage, the 50th is the "Golden Anniversary". I could be wrong, but I think that's what they were going for.
Yep, 100% agree. A. I'd much rather hear the growl of the Mustang V8, not the annoying whine. I absolutely loved that the Corvette Superchargers (Roots?) were silent. And B. If I'm up against some little rice burner in his fanboy sti, I want him to think its a stock GT, and not tell the world...
Something Wicked This Way Comes
It looks like something seriously sinister lurks beneath that black veil!
I have high hopes for Ford's interpretation of what 'more aggressive' means for the S550. I have even higher hopes for what Shelby Autos come up with!
