I had AT on Ecoboost before and I recently switched to MT 5.0. Not a single bad word. Fixed the clutch feeling with 14 USD Steeda spring and it's awesome. Overall driving enjoyment went up like zillion times. Go for MT, you won't regret.

You're overthinking it dude. Here in Europe everyone knows how to drive a stick and we were all learning to drive MT. It's nothing special but much more enjoyable. Just sit in the car, give it few days and you will feel like you were born for the MT. Have fun, good choice! :)

Why do you care about difference? Engine breaking is obviously much longer. It is used to save brakes from unnecessary wear.
