  1. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

I totally get your points in these posts. It's a coupe designed for racing, not a comfortable, luxurious car that doesn't feel street bumps, cracks, or potholes. However, on the other hand, many parts can be upgraded, especially regarding the stock package. From my other thread, where I work on...
  2. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

I heard that it doesn't need it. If you look deep into the forum, you should find a picture of the bottom of the convertible, which has extra braces compared to the nonconvertible one. Even if you get the package the braces from top the hop kit doesn't fit to convertible.
  3. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

I have heard it, and the shop was thinking the same way. I understand it's plastic vs. metal bearing, which is the NVH source. But I might be wrong, I will ask a couple more shops to see what they think before executing the upgrade.
  4. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

My worry about the PP control arm is its bearing, which will contribute to NVH. Other than that, it seems they're similar to stock one, so it's longevity vs. NVH, to my understanding.
  5. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

Thank you so much. Other than the IRS support probably, the rest are going to be like that, though I have been recommended by many to stick with the FP track pack as much as possible.
  6. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

Thank you so much KZ; you're a wise guy. :) I'm also leaning always on the same side and thinking that the guy who designed it was an engineer with much more experience than me, so he knew something to implement. On the other hand, ponies are named for a reason (there's a push for the powerful...
  7. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

PP control arms look more expensive, and I wouldn't say I like NVH. I think I wouldn't upgrade anything to make it noisier. I talked with JBA today, and their recommendation was also to stock ARMs. Why did you go with stock spring? I think you need to go for higher rates if you get B6.
  8. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

I think it's either a hit from the bottom that damaged the control arm, or the bushing has gone wrong after 5 years. Great advice, but I couldn't find a good one. I live in SD, and if you could direct me to one of them, that would be great. :) I hoped that the Ford technician could identify...
  9. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

So, if I understand your comment, would you suggest that I replace the control arm with a stock one and change the sway bar? What was your issue with B6 or PP shocks and struts? Was it a spring upgrade or the dampers? What went bad? Height reduction or something else? Didn't you like more...
  10. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

I think those two are for fastback Mustangs; mine is convertible and has some brackets on the bottom that stop many of those issues, and I do not need them. That one is also on the list, and I will go for them in a couple of months. I also could never find the best tire numbers while increasing...
  11. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

Well, I wanted to improve the suspension at some point to remove this boat feeling and increase the feedback from the road. To my understanding, everyone is trying to get to the numbers 350R provides, but the drop is huge (1.2", I think). Steeda looks at something in the middle, while BMR has...
  12. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

Thanks, nice car, and color... :) Mine is a convertible, so I have read that I don't need and actually can't install many parts of the stop-the-hop kit. Why did you go for pro-active? I don't know that one very well.
  13. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

Do you recommend that I go with Ford PP shocks and struts? I want to upgrade them from stock, but I thought B6 was the answer. I sometimes get into the highway during weekends, but most of the time, I'm on crappy streets... If that's the case, I think I need these: Track strut and shock kit...
  14. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

I have something like 48k on it. Well, when I need to get into and out of the parking lot, that knocking sound happens. The technician told me I should expect this car's suspension to change every 40k or so! To my understanding, the technician commented that I should change all shocks and...
  15. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

No, I don't have the PP pack. All stock from the factory...
  16. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

The biggest issue I have right now with it that makes me panic is hearing a knocking sound whenever I turn the wheel to 90 degrees or so. I brought the car to the dealer, and they commented that they couldn't identify any issue with it, but the technician told me that he would change the...
  17. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

Thanks for your time and notes. It has been answered, but each time I look into it, I see many nuances that change over time as well. However, if you have a final direct message recently addressed to all of these, I would be grateful if you could direct me there. It can be precious if someone...
  18. Dissection of a B&O Amplifier

That's a shielded transformer; it should boost the power supply as the car battery is 12V. They might need a higher voltage because P=V^2/R. So, for a fixed resistance, if you need to put more power over the load, you need to increase the voltage. Suppose you need to understand what's the...
  19. Suspension Upgrades Suggestion

I need to upgrade my suspension, and after an extended reading, I decided to get Bilstein shocks and struts with Steeda minimum-drop linear springs. I'm a daily driver with a 2020 convertible GT that never gets onto the track, so I prefer to minimize the drop, as we have horrible streets in...
  20. Dissection of a B&O Amplifier

Thanks for the information; you nailed most of it. I guess "TI CDCE913" is the PLL for Analog Device DSP. You can see the crystal to be soldered left of it. Why do they need that while the ADAU1451 has built-in PLL? This is also my question, but someone with experience with these DSPs and...
