I should say that, in my case, I don't know what functionality I will lose in the car if I change the amplifier. However, four gauge wires are unnecessary if you want to put an amp with one 30A fuse on it, and it should be safe if you go with 4ohm speakers.
Well, I don't call what I did a reverse engineering :) I had another plan for the system, but I decided to fit the audio system in the current compartment once I got my hands on it. I think a 200W system should be enough for most people (as the current setup is already satisfactory for me)...
It's for nine-speaker systems.
Based on their wiring diagram, two go for rear speakers, two for front lower door speakers, and two for front mid-range plus twitters. The seventh one is for the center dash.
It should be the same design for pre-2018 cars; I think the eight-channel is the output...
Hi Guys,
So, I got my hands on one of these devices from the Junkyard. The complete part number is FR3Z-18B849-E, and I expect the one I have on the car to be very similar to this one.
The hardware has two 4-channel class AB amplifiers for the amplifier. It's from NXP with part number as...
I don't know if Ford has done that, but given that the power is DC, I. don't know if that will interfere. In addition, the frequency of the signals in these cars is low, and accordingly, the coupling shouldn't be that bad.
It might be more noticeable in the electric version.
The issue that...
Not as clean as an OEM. I'm trying to keep it on the OEM side as much as possible...
I will post it later here if I succeed. This one takes some time to complete, but I was hoping to get B&O at the same time.
So, after reading this post, I started thinking about it. I guess the two back chips on the right side of this picture are probably the controller and data processors. The two chips on the left should be the audio amplifier. It should have two or three channels, and that white residue on top can...
Too much wiring change. I don't really see it valuable unless you really want loud speakers with a huger amount of power to put into them.
I see. I thought that it is just one connector
That's the wiring I'm trying to avoid
Glad for you. I don't think I need a sub, and my senses are...
I want to upgrade my speakers while keeping the amplifier and head unit stock on Mustang S550 2020.
I'm wondering if I can replace the current base 9-speaker amplifier with B&O amplifier; is it "KR3Z18B849CG"? Also, does someone know how I can change the wiring? One of the connectors looks...
I'm also curious about your image. Though, thanks for sharing them.
Was there any heatsink on the white chips on the left side of your image? I'm just guessing that it's two identical copies of multiple-channel amplifier chips, and the white residue on top is actually from silicon grease for...
