  1. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

Lund is tuning my build - and I think you are correct that they do separate pump and E85 tunes. That said I had flex fuel on my 1650 whp non-Mustang build - and it exists on even more powerful builds on the same platform - so I don't think it is accurate to state it isn't a solid FI option.
  2. Question for power adder gurus

I have enjoyed PC/centri setups - and for day to day driveability are great. It was on a manual car and I found that for track - 60' was problematic/tricky. The PD style blower (Gen V Whipple) was easier for 60' and I have an auto this time (10R80). That said - Solarflare who posted above me is...
  3. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

No problem - and yes - the fuel system we had were all designed for ethanol use in mind.
  4. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

Although modern cars can handle ethanol better than older cars - my understanding is yes - you do not want ethanol to sit in your car for a long period of time. We drained/purged often for safety.
  5. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

No problem Doug - only my experience - Mustang, my car isn't done yet - so I cannot answer most of those questions yet. My understanding is there are many many S550's on corn. Car sitting - fuel is purged before it sits of ethanol. We bought barrels - quality wasn't an issue. Flex fuel adjusts tune.
  6. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

Since you are not getting much traction - I will give you my own experiences with E85/98 - I am not an engineer - this is just my feedback: Pro's are many IMHO. Ethanol is used on the most powerful modded builds for a reason over C/Q16. It provide the octane boost - but also the cooling...
  7. Advice on Fueling to reach 650-700 rwhp on 18 and up GT

Lol - that is awesome! I think any research on modding is welcome! Looking forward to seeing what you discover!
  8. Advice on Fueling to reach 650-700 rwhp on 18 and up GT

Thank-you for taking the time to respond so completely - it was very helpful! So question - obviously I have the triple Fore pump system as I stated earlier - that is a PI system. To summarize - I have only helped my E85 requirements - but not my pump gas requirements? As it stands - there will...
  9. Advice on Fueling to reach 650-700 rwhp on 18 and up GT

Question on this...I had a C7Z - F1A procharged. DI only - no PI (ZR1 was the first to get both). I had a larger low side and line as well as secondary high side. When it came to injections - DI injectors - the injectors that came out were expensive and seemed to have very little affect. I...
  10. Advice on Fueling to reach 650-700 rwhp on 18 and up GT

My two cents: These threads can be tricky to navigate - some very similar opinions and some that is different. Everyone has their own budget - and I don't pay other peoples builds. All I suggest is to wait until your budget allows - as I have seen people push and break things which usually ends...
  11. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

They did - by the end of month.
  12. IAT Info for Lethal Performance's Gen 5 Whipple with a PNR Ice Tank

Very cool - I will let them know - thanks AZ!
  13. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

Thanks Doug - I ordered my package in December. They are simply changing the add on (removing fans - adding larger HX).
  14. IAT Info for Lethal Performance's Gen 5 Whipple with a PNR Ice Tank

My Shop would know better - but I don't think they had to cut anything on the Whipple provided unit (which is already connected to Tig Vision unit in the car). I can verify. I will see if I have any pics. I would guess the larger HX is no different? EDIT: Confirmed this is not a common...
  15. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

Thanks Doug - Whipple stated no change to my order status with changing between fans and bigger HX - so it is ordered instead of the fans. I feel it is the right choice.
  16. IAT Info for Lethal Performance's Gen 5 Whipple with a PNR Ice Tank

Thanks AZ...I agree with you flow is the key. There was some info that the WHipple HX it came with may actually have better flow without the ice box. With an ice box, some of the info out there says that with a smaller HX that the flow can overwhelm it - "cause head pressure potentially" (not...
  17. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

UPdate to myself lol...I went with the PNR Stage IV cooler and returned the fans and got the larger heat exchanger. I think from all that I have read - it is the best choice.
  18. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

Another good thread on the affect of an icebox with a Whipple stock with kit HX. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/iat-info-for-lethal-performances-gen-5-whipple-with-a-pnr-ice-tank.124490/
  19. IAT Info for Lethal Performance's Gen 5 Whipple with a PNR Ice Tank

I am bringing this thread back to life because I think my build needs this. We were going PNR but through some communication issues - they went Tig with that crappy Rule2000 pump everyone seems to hate. I am asking for the PNR Stage IV - but I have a question about the Gen V Stage 2 HX. A) is...
  20. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

Some good information here on fans versus extra size heat exchanger. It seems you can use one or the other. Fans seem to block airflow are don't help unless standing still. Disappointed that we did not get the larger heat exchanger. One guy did post about a Shop who apparently does a lot of...
