  1. New personal best with Procharger P1X

Makes sense since the roots/screw chargers are so much low end torque early in the curve. I had a manual F1A setup and I hated launching that setup. With an auto - I have to believe it is easier - but I did notice that the 60' PC runs versus Whipple are a good solid tenth apart - which tells me...
  2. New personal best with Procharger P1X

Thanks for the info! I would guess my stock 3.55 would do well with the PC - I have gotten the 3.15 for the Whipple setup. I have all of the BMR race and viking suspension, axles, driveshaft and fuel setup along with the bigger Circle D 258mm and Mcloud clutches. Oil pump and harmonic upgrade...
  3. 7.85 @174 1/4mile with my 10r80

That is a great ET and solid MPH! Out of interest as a previous GTR owner - what is the clutch setup and how many more frictions can they stick in there lol? As the car is hitting 1500+ whp - I am astounded that the trans can hold that. Keep it up - I am subscribed!
  4. New personal best with Procharger P1X

That is really impressive for such a simple build. I had a C7Z with an F1A PC and it was a great setup...I have decided on a Gen V Whipple looking for low 9's high 8's - but seeing your success is giving me a tiny bit of pause. You are straight E85 now - I'm not sure if I saw your fuel mods...
  5. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

And I will post it on my build thread once it begins.
  6. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

I agree with you that ethanol makes people not even look at pump gas. On the note of pump - even though I have ready access to it - we don't have pumps at our stations here for E85 - so it's more of a headache. I don't think I will go as high as 15 psi on pump - but I am hoping for 12-13 safely...
  7. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

Thanks TX-R - that is what I have been seeing. 10.2's at 138+. That's enough. I have no issue running E all the time - but its nice to know that it will still have something for a test and tune day. I am fortunate to say that Lund is the Tuner for my car.
  8. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

Thanks TX-R - do you know of the highest boost/pulley setup on pump - no additive - being used these days on the Gen V builds - and what they have run?
  9. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

Understood. The reason I am using 10 psi is because that seems to be the limit before people start to add booster to their fuel. That said - some of the people stuck t 10 psi don't have a chiller or bogger fuel systems - so I am wondering whether with the chiller and fuel system 12 psi is...
  10. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

Thank-you TX-R - as a Tuner yourself, is real life that if I want to drive around straight 94 octane (Canadian fuel is 10% ethanol) - that I will likely be stuck at low 10's at 138.5ish MPH? Being honest - that is fine - I just want to know if anything above 10 psi is possible (or a good idea)...
  11. Which supercharger would require more gas and kill mileage?

I am interested to know why you are asking. Is it because you are new to modding and worried about fuel economy?
  12. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

Thank-you for your feedback, I have followed a bunch of your builds and I am familiar with you as well during my time with my F1A C7Z. Wheel tire will be a simple Weld 17" rear setup on ET street R's and skinnies in the front. I hear you about the PNR chiller - but I have some experience here...
  13. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

First, I tip my hat to you for doing your own tuning...I see the engineer in your profile name - so I guess you have some experience there. It is not something I will do myself personally - and with Lund having such success and R&D already completed - I am good to feed off of that. That said -...
  14. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

Thank-you Mike - this is good info. What power are you making at 10 psi and what are you running (MPH) on 10 psi?
  15. Gen 3 2.9L whipple dyno results

These are great results! Are you on pump gas or ethanol? And to your point - on average - Mustang dyno's read slightly lower than Dynojet. Of course, the key with any dyno is always the before and after (baseline to mods) - as I know dyno's can be configured to anything - but these are solid...
  16. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

This will be a useful discussion - just to answer these questions...have people on "pump" been using octane booster or a race fuel mix to avoid knock above 11 psi? Can the setups take true pump gas 93 (or for me 94 as that is what is local) - without constant worry? I both want to see what is...
  17. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

Much appreciated - but I already have the 3.15's.
  18. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

Were these the pulls when he was on crappy 93? I remember a thread where he was told to get a better fuel (he was at a no name station) and he was good after that. This shows though that you have to be very careful with pump gas as you are hovering by a string with lower octane in terms of...
  19. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

That makes sense - and is actually a pretty good run at that psi and power level. I am hearing 12-13 psi is the limits people are going with pump gas tunes - I don't know if that is the upper limit - or just what people have found to be the "safe" limit. I hear 12 more than 13 - and some people...
  20. Gen V Whipple Build - Your Feedback Please

Thank-you for your reply...I have seen pump gas runs wing between mid 130's and 140 MPH with ET from anywhere between mid 10's to 10.0's. I asked HRSEPLA what he was able to do with his pump runs as he did a few (I think 10.2's at 138.5 MPH) and then went straight to E85. I have no issue with...
