Being honest - it really was two things...1) we had accomplished what we set out to do and being fair to Wildhorse 2) they are much more costly and sometimes challenging to maintain if you are at the track all of the time (which we were). I enjoyed that car - and wanted to simplify. I got away...
That is true. When Gidi broke the record again - he had four transmissions and one spare engine with him. One of which (engine and trans) they needed. That said again - at 3000 whp - I don't know if that is unexpected.
I certainly won't say they don't break - but at this years TX2K - they literally won everything - even beating out the near double displacement and four more cylinders UGR twin turbo Huracans. For a platform - and a V6 - these are 2500-3000 whp builds - running mid 6's at 225+ MPH which is a...
Lol - That is who I thought it was - I and my Shop know Ryan. He was there in the beginning like myself in the Canadian modded GTR world - and really worked at it while no one else was (the West Coast me lol). He and I were fighting for low 8's at the same time back in the day (2014-2015) lol...
Sounds good - I forgot abut your elevation!...What is your DA? My A16 was about the same power level...I don't think anyone out West has gone low 7's (and 1700 wouldn't be enough for that ET). We have a GTR from our Shop here that ran 7.5's but he has ~1900-2000 whp. Question; are you saying...
I am confused. I have a 2019 GT PP1. I have replaced the 3.55's with 3.15. I thought Lethal had a 2018 car - and they were telling me to go "iron chunk" - which I also thought was on the base V6's. Two questions as you are going with the aluminum housing - is the aluminum housing better - and if...
Awesome! Thank-you for the detailed answer. First - yes - the GT35X turbos are what were on an Alpha 12 GTR - which was good for about the same power on the V6 - but at a much higher psi (probably 35-37 psi). I had the older 3794's which made more power but were so laggy in comparison - and that...
Congrats on the build - super subscribed to see your times and MPH! I am somewhat familiar with the turbo kit as I have come over from the GTR world - and the GTX3582's/GTX3584's are just fantastic turbo setups. I believe the 3584's have went 7's even in a full weight barge size R35 so you will...
Wow - and that is the Whipple tune! Congratulations - that is awesome and for this Friday morning as one of those guys still waiting since December for my Gen V - it made my day!
Thank-you sir. I have a very similar modding setup to yourselves. Is it very likely I am breaking the ears on the diff if I do not have the iron chunk setup?
Seems we have another week to wait - but at least the extensions are getting smaller versus the 3-4 week adjustments at a time. SO I am still hopeful to have the blower by end of April (maybe first week of May with shipping). All of my other parts are in the car and waiting...
Okay - some different feedback. Whipple and Hellion are good sources - direct. I will say the concept is a good thing if it works on the platform as intended and expected. It worked well for some non-Mustang builds I have owned. Ethanol is a game changer and it is the only fuel I use today...
I have no doubt you are correct...I am interested to know why. That said for my Whipple setup - having to change the belt anyway - getting the E85 tune loaded isn't a big issue. You are going to run around with the same belt until you change it out anyway.
