  1. Hagerty increased value of 2021 Mach 1

Do you know how HARD it is to get your hands on a Mach 1 without getting taken to the cleaners by the dealerships? There's a few dealerships running deals at 2-3% under invoice on these forums — I ordered from one. You just have to be willing to wait. I've waited over 6 months for mine and it's...
  2. Hagerty increased value of 2021 Mach 1

If you can get it under invoice and are willing to go through the hassle of buying and registering it, then I don't see a reason not to buy it and flip it considering that'd be an easy $10-15k profit with the prices people are paying right now.

Read back a couple pages for the full discussion about that. The short version is that you should have price protection once you order it, but it's dealer-dependent on whether they honor it or not. A lot of them (such as Chapman of Horsham lmao) are just charging you the increased price and...
  4. Amusing Reactions to your Mach 1

Yeah I've heard this plenty as well, I'm upgrading from a V6 myself and will hopefully have my Mach 1 in the next month or two. Usually these guys are driving riced-out Honda Civics from 2008 or rusted old trucks from my experience. Just ask them what they drive, ask them why they didn't get...

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/new-mustang-price-increases-coming-effective-april-13-2022.174056/ This is what i could find on google, taken from blue oval forums. It's likely the dealer will not give a shit though and say to pay the price or beat it. For instance, if I don't buy...

Interesting, because they just flat out refused when I asked this morning, saying the DORA I signed was an estimate and I would be charged 4% under the final delivered invoice price.

Yeah, I'm hoping it stays that way for a bit longer — hopefully the production and delivery on the Mach 1 are quick. Carvana offered me $300 more than I paid for my V6 over 5 1/2 years ago lol. And that's after putting 40k miles on it too.
  9. 2022 Official Mach 1 Order Tracking Thread

Ford came out and said in a statement that orders placed before the price hikes would get a rebate from them to honor the original price once the car was delivered. So it's not a dealership thing, it's directly from Ford.

Yeah, unfortunately my only options at this point are to either give up on the Mach 1 entirely and try to nab a GR86 at MSRP OR just pay the extra $3k and deal with it. Gotta love car dealers knowing they got you by the balls and there's nothing you can do about it.
  11. 2022 Official Mach 1 Order Tracking Thread

Just heard back, Chapman does not honor price protection but they are honoring the % under invoice I was quoted at during time of order. So my OTD price is likely going to be $58k instead of the $55k I had budgeted, bleh. Now i'm wondering if I can get more for my current Mustang from a local...
  12. 2022 Official Mach 1 Order Tracking Thread

Yeah, I think the doc fee is notably higher with Chapman if i recall correctly, so they are kinda close in final price. I might've ordered from Granger if I'd known price increases were coming honestly, would have ended up saving me a couple thousand in the end. Price protecting shouldn't cost...
  13. 2022 Official Mach 1 Order Tracking Thread

Oh they know I found them through Mustang6g and I pointed out in my email to them that Granger and other dealerships on here are honoring price protections :) Probably won't change anything but still, worth a shot lol. If they don't price protect and i end up buying another Ford in the future...
  14. 2022 Official Mach 1 Order Tracking Thread

I'm hoping that's the case and they honor the 4% under invoice at the price I was quoted back in January. I just emailed them to ask. Not a dealbreaker if they won't price protect but a bit of a bummer still. I've heard a lot of good things about them on here so I was surprised at the couple...

Well that sucks, I probably would have ordered from Granger instead if I'd known... Ordered from Chapman because I read a bunch of rave reviews on here and I have a couple friends down around that area (I grew up in northern DE). Probably not going to cancel at this point unless they try to...
  16. 2022 Official Mach 1 Order Tracking Thread

I'm going to email them and find out — I didn't have to put down a down payment with Chapman, but I've heard some people on here say that they don't price protect orders, which is a real bummer if true. At least I should get the 4% instead of 3% under invoice since I have emails saved from...

So after being told my car wasn't going to get produced until June 27th, I logged onto the tracker and found out that it's in production today! Got a window sticker and everything. Hopefully the wait won't be too much longer now. Although I noticed the price on the window sticker vs the DORA I...

Congratulations! Post pictures when you get it!! Race red is an underrated color on the mach 1s imo.
  19. GR86 from a Mustang GT PP (modified) owners (and Dads) long perspective

TBH if the CT4 Blackwing actually had a V8, I would have considered it. But it doesn't, so I didn't even bother checking it out lol. If I was down to get something with 6 cylinders, it would be a Zupra or the Nissan Z since I don't have kids or a girlfriend lol. I never even test drove a Camaro...
  20. GR86 from a Mustang GT PP (modified) owners (and Dads) long perspective

If you drive on twisties or around town a lot, I'd recommend a GR86/BRZ. They're a blast. Really not that fun on highways though and the noise level is a good deal higher than the Mustang. If you do a lot of highway driving then maybe consider the Camaro or Mustang instead. Better at cruising...
