  1. Zen Enclosures subwoofer box

First tune on the sub system today. Not too bad except for the hole at 60hz which may be the car. If there is time tomorrow I will give it another tune. I also have the gain set on the low side, maybe about 10 o'clock position. That is telling me that I might have been able to get away...
  2. My 8000W/4500W Sound System Build - Fi Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Hertz

I wonder how these would fit. https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4968_Scosche-SAC656.html
  3. My 8000W/4500W Sound System Build - Fi Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Hertz

I used plastic spacers that came with the JBL's I had in there before. The screw pattern for the hertz just makes the opening. You have to get it centered perfect for all 4 screws to bite.I did wrap the outside of the woofer with 3/4" foam to seal it to the door card for no rattles. Yes it is...
  4. Zen Enclosures subwoofer box

Thanks gents! To Canoman, when I made the pieces I started with them at 2 3/8" long.I kind of wanted to see where the amp would land on the package tray ribbing from underneath. When I found a good landing spot,I cut them back to 1 7/8".You might get away with 1 3/4".It is all to clear that well...
  5. 5-channel amp going into protect mode with engine on

1 other thought......Do you have a 12 or a 14 gauge as the power wire, when most amps require an 8 or even a 4 gauge? That could make the amp startup, then shutdown.
  6. 5-channel amp going into protect mode with engine on

Just jump the 12 volt power wire to the turn on lug right at the amp.If the amp stays on then you know it is ok.Then you can look for another turn on location to use.If it goes into protect mode, then something is wrong with it.
  7. Zen Enclosures subwoofer box

It is upgrade time once again. The fit and finish of the Zen box is top shelf. I chose the 2 x 10" front firing box as I wanted tight not boomy bass. The inner cubic feet dimension had to reduced for the subs I am using. The "Zens' also were very fast in building and shipping the box to me. I...
  8. My 8000W/4500W Sound System Build - Fi Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Hertz

Here is a picture of my Basement theater. All Klipsch 7.1 with Klipshorns as the front mains.
  9. Tweeter harness metra

Why hack it up,just order the proper part number connectors I just posted. You need the female plug with the male pins. You can buy a cheap crimper on ebay for like $20 as you are only crimping 4 wires.
  10. Tweeter harness metra

Not sure on the metra plugs if they fit. Here are the correct parts from mouser electronics. You will have to crimp them yourself. Mouser part # 31067-1010, #31067-1040...and the pins are 571-1393366-1 and 571-1438299-4.
  11. JL Audio XD600/6v2 for sale

Last chance to make offer before it goes on the bay sunday night
  12. Battery Connection

What I wanted to do was drill and tap a bolt into the terminal to make a stud like the way the negative one is.But the wires are crimped so close to the post there is no room to squeeze it in between.
  13. Battery Connection

I figured someone would dig it....lol
  14. Battery Connection

I am in the process of adding a subwoofer in the trunk which is getting another amplifier. You can use the junction block up front for 1 amp with a #4 gauge wire, but 2 amps need to go directly to the battery post. Some people are using the terminal clamp bolt which works, but this way it stays on...
  15. Rear speakers no voice just boom

Keep that amp for a future subwoofer upgrade and buy my amp in the classified section.I have a slightly used JL 600/6 there for sale.
  16. Rear speakers no voice just boom

That is a subwoofer amp.It will not pass higher than a 200hz frequency range.
  17. broken clibs

Nothing different with the clip sizes.I think they are different colors just so the line workers know how many to put where.I am sure at some time ford will phase out the extra numbers and have only 1 replacement part number.
