They aren't the only ones. There were others who reverted back to non-2015+ OEM PCM options, which was due (in large part) to limited software support in the early days.
Now, the software is getting much better for the S550 platform, as can be seen by some of the 8 sec timeslips being recorded...
No idea, but my sleeved MPR long block should be here next week. (Literally just waiting on a front cover + valve covers to complete it. Ford has been on backorder forever now it seems.)

The coyote architecture has been out since the 2011 year model, roughly 6 years.
Getting them to hold 1200-1300whp (even more) is no longer a mystery or source of R&D at the dealer level.

The heads on the Coyote are badass, some of the best flowing production heads on the planet.
We went 9.0 @ 157mph on a stock short block and valvetrain, that's crazy at 4100 lbs.
The Supra is a MUCH lighter car in comparison.
We're talking 2015+ production cars, which are heavy now to meet...
If that's your goal, I think that's fine....but I think the market is going to take a major uptick in the HP department in the months to come.

I think many forget when turbocharging, for example, comes into play....we're talking about 5.0L of displacement.
When you see every run of the mill 03+ Mitsubishi EVO making 600-1000whp with a single turbo upgrade on a 2.0-2.3L engine...you start to think about how much...
My stock 2015 made over 1000whp @ ran 9.0 @ 157mph, but guys have already blown them at less power. Just because we did it doesn't mean I'd recommend our customers to attempt this, as I know odds are high many would experience catastrophe.
My point is, I'm not saying the engine won't hold up...
The sleeve supports are interesting, but at the same time, if you talk to ANY engine builder who deals in high volume Coyote builds (MPR, RGR, etc)....they will tell you it's unicorn dust.
I haven't had one single engine builder yet, (respected household names) tell me they hold up any better...
We all know that one guy, but that doesn't circumvent the other 500 people that have destroyed a non sleeved engine. (And there is a line out the door of those, but with and without supports.)
Yeah, I personally find no place for an Aluminator, or even a drop-in rods/pistons combo....knowing the SLEEVES are are the weak link.
It just seems silly to me to discuss $3000 short blocks when you're not addressing the main issue.

800whp would net you mid 140's.
and no, I would run unleaded race gas to hit 800whp, which is my limit for the factory fuel pump + BAP + 1000cc injectors.
I'd leave E85 for the built motor crowd, as you need a further upgraded fuel system, which is a significant cost.

Not a fan of the former chassis. Can't get over the look, which is just personal preference.
The 2015+ interior is much more refined and I find the ride quality to be worlds better.
If I just wanted a drag car, I'd go buy a Foxbody.
But I want an 8 second car with heated/air cooled...
It has cast boss heads basically, so yes, you are starting with better heads.....but you'll need to address at minimum the factory valve springs.....if shooting for over 900whp...roughly. (From what I've seen now in my motor & others)
