You'll be a much happier person when you just take some action, take care of the problem, and proudly have a track capable tech pack.
Like we say at work, less with the jaws, more with the paws.
I can chime in on this one since I have done it. The cooler is not below the drain hole, and on top of that, the cooler lines go straight, up, down, then back up. You have to use the pump to fill the lines and cooler. The process of doing so is easy. You put 2 quarts in the trans, run the pump...
I don't understand why this is still such a discussion. Maybe people are missing something? If you have a tech and want a cooler, either buy the whole trans and cooler kit, or come up with a homemade solution. It just depends on what you can afford. It makes no sense to pay $700 with no fluids...
Strut tower brace will be Aluminum and not steel.
Mag ride selectable suspension
Base will have a block off plate on the passenger side front lower grille. Track pack will have ducting to a trans cooler
When scrolling through the guages the track pack will show "Axle Oil Temp" and "Trans Oil...
Nice, make sure to enable the temp gauge through FORscan if you haven't already.
I agree with this. It is the manufacturer's job to prove that what you did caused the failure, not your job to prove it didn't.
Tommys got it. The BG Syncho Shift II turned out to be a good choice. Even after an hour + of driving the trans has stayed under 180*. It still will hit limp mode on the track but that is driving it significantly harder.
I did notice a slight difference. It's sort of like a little butter...
Exactly, it doesnt. You're paying $700 for a cooler and mounting brackets (<$100 aftermarket). As pointed out in my earlier posts, the FPP fix is closer to $1300. Almost 3x the cost of doing it on your own.
In all actuality, they didn't develop any solution or fix, or put in any R&D at all. They are simply selling you the OEM parts and telling you to figure the rest out if you want to exclude the complete $5495 package.
You have to wonder why they even do this. Why not just lower expectations and let the aftermarket do the R&D? It seems all they do is make us think "Sweet! Factory performance!," and then we sit on our hands and just get disappointed. Obviously for value and reliability we all want OEM backed...
Ha, yes, obviously I had already mentally given up on those and went completely aftermarket for a fraction of the cost, and it seems they are going to keep those parts on the DL to avoid bad press. (IMO)
We heard this stated about a year ago, telling us that Ford would be the place for all your GT350/R performance, but we have not really seen anything besides the exhaust. Just from what I recall, we were told there was a Trackey, a larger throttle body, what else? Has anybody heard anything...
Never thought about it like that. Just another example of the rich staying rich, and the middle class get an extra tax.
There was somebody at my track attack who paid 10k ADM and thought they got a great deal. Not even for a first allocation car.
