  1. 3am Road Debris

Take it to a body and have them fill the scratch and buff it smooth. Shouldn’t take long and will be hardly noticeable.
  2. First GT500 Issue? Rocker Moldings Melting

I would think the pre production parts would be made of a cheaper lower temp plastic then the production parts. Once the mold is finalized and build they can change the composition of the plastic within a certain range. I would think this is prepro junk more than an issue.
  3. The GT350's have really gotten cheap.

I got toasted the other day for talking about this. Specifically market changes and slowing demand for the 350. Some guy GT preached it for years and I guess I was toasted because of him. The first time I talked about it was a few weeks ago. I am not holding my breath that they will show up...
  4. Please comment... Who has seen oil pump gear and crank sprocket failures?

When I go supercharged I will probably not change my oil pump gears. What I will do is build a little module that will cut power to the ignition system when oil pressure drops below a certain threshold. Say 3psi. This would not save the rod and main bearings but it would most likely save...
  5. [Updated]: 11.0@128 so far for GT500 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Can we assume that the Track Pack cars and the base have he same transmission/upgrades? Ford has a clear definition for what it label Track Pack or Track Capable. I would expect the base car will have differences beyond aero, wheels, and cooling.
  6. [Updated]: 11.0@128 so far for GT500 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

I agree Ford hasn’t done a good job rolling out this car. The thing is outside this small forum community no one cares. Next Tuesday no one will give a rats ass about any of this. Most GT500 buyers won’t ever read about the rollout. Most read Car and Driver and decide baby doesn’t need new...
  7. Anyone Running E30 Fuel Mixture On A Stock Tune?

If you put 0% E 93 octane and mix it with E85 you can get a marginal boost in octane. 16gal 13.6 of 93 2.4gal of E85 Small bump in octane.
  8. 850whp on 91 octane?

Unfortunately 690 hp on 91 octane puts you on borrowed time. Knock will eventually get this engine. 12:1 + boost + 91 octane + heat + 690whp = bad results. I would advise to step up to E85 in the near further or do it after your rebuild. Btw 690 whp is 770hp on the crank. Add that to...
  9. [Updated]: 11.0@128 so far for GT500 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

These cars will be monsters. The carryover from the gt/350 platform means the go fast goodies are already on the shelf.
  10. [Updated]: 11.0@128 so far for GT500 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

I am going to bet that thing that connects the engine to the rear end that is filled with magical gnomes switching the gears. But I hope not. Seriously though the way ford likes to make cars for the aftermarket I fully expect to see some crazy times with these cars. Factory 10.72 at 133...
  11. [Updated]: 11.0@128 so far for GT500 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

What the hell is Ford doing here? They worked so hard crafting an image of this car. Months of speculation, Twitter HP release, just to have a Mexican review and a first time of 11.3 posted? Not a good look. They better release the numbers soon. All they have at this point is bad publicity...
  12. Will Trump be impeached?

I would love to but no one cares here. This isn’t the other site. I just like to rant from time to time.
  13. Will Trump be impeached?

Japan might be a good indicator of what our future looks like. Stagflation. Basically the only things that increase are healthcare ,pensions, taxes, and debt. A slow grind downwards would be the worse case for most people. Imagine you 401k losing 4-5% per year for 25 years. That would be far...
  14. -500 RPM

Pretty sure it is 7500 in the computer. https://www.fordnxt.com/news/a-peek-inside-the-2018-mustangs-gen-3-coyote-engine/ “Enabled by new crankshaft and rod bearings, as well as a viscous crank damper, this Coyote revs 500 rpm higher than the Gen 2 to 7,500 rpm. As such, it needs a...
  15. Will Trump be impeached?

I swear people are defiantly the mostest stupidest mammals. The fed just monetized $250,000,000,000 worth of bad bank paper. In a little over a month. This program is going to go on forever. QE4 has started. No one batted an eye. So the 1% just got 250 billion richer (every month) and we are...
  16. -500 RPM

Wonder if it was one of these people’s jobs. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/20/business/ford-cutting-jobs.html
  17. Please comment... Who has seen oil pump gear and crank sprocket failures?

If it cost a $1 every time you put it on would you have worn it for 20 years? Have to have money in a comparative analogy.
  18. -500 RPM

That’s not redline. That’s peak HP. You want to run across peak horsepower and down the other side a bit so when the car shifts you will be close to the same place on the left side of the curve. Makes for best average horsepower. Long flat HP curves. And redline is 7500 on all gen 3s.
  19. Please comment... Who has seen oil pump gear and crank sprocket failures?

~386,000 S550s have been sold. Let’s say 25% were GTs so 96,500. If 5% got some forced induction that’s 4825 cars. (Prob low) So 1% would be 48 and 10% would be 483. So my opinion is I have no idea.
