Since I wasn't able to call today, I'm curious. What is the R&I procedure on the pans for these cars? Anyone happen to have it? Are they one time use only like some of the ecoboost pans? And I'm guessing they need to drop the K-member as part of this procedure.

Welcome. There is an oil trace above the plug, so unfortunately whatever it is came from above that spot. I mostly autox on occasion for fun also, I'm no where near the fastest guy out there. In fact, I'll mostly be auto crossing my fox, which doesn't have a prayer of being competitive...

So, I recently traded in my 16 GT PP for an 18. While trying to find an under car rattle yesterday, I noticed Fords fantastic new plastic pan on my 18 is leaking already (just over 1k miles). So this morning, I paid more attention to my oil pressure gauge in this car than I have in the past...

That'll be a long wait. That car is gone, I traded it in on an 18GT PP. I'll keep an eye on the seat though. Where is yours showing abnormal wear?

Not sure. They would both have that plate there though, even if the plate differs some between them. I don't know if that plate is the culprit or not yet, but it sure sounded like the rattle on mine was from that area.

Home now and finally was able to listen to the GT350 video posted. That's what mine sounds like inside also. I took a video with my phone this afternoon before I got the kids to try and capture the noise, but my phone doesn't pick it up that well. Partially because it's just not that loud...

The GT350 has different pistons than we do though, and I think that's the source of their noise. Not sure what this might be. I'll be disappointed if my 18GT with 1k miles on it has piston slap already.
