I live in Phoenix, it's always sunny and it gets hot real quick.
I made the mistake of trying to wash the car myself in the driveway, and no joke, the water was evaporating just as fast as it was hitting the car. And this was at roughly 8 AM, but again in the sun since I have no shade in my...
I'll offer up my own opinion since I debated between the FRPP Sport and Borla S Type...
The CJPP video clips of the S-Type ultimately sold me on that one over the Sport, and I've had it on my GT PP for a couple of months now.
I'll agree with mauleed, under 2K RPM and it's not very loud...
I'm definitely interested in some install days.
I managed to do my intake and catbacks myself, and would be happy to help someone else with the same in return for sound tube removal. Or I can pay in pizza and beer.
I live in central Phoenix, Biltmore/Arcadia area, so I'm central to pretty much...
Thanks for the great write-up.
I'm leaning towards this handling package as well, but I believe that at least some of the "upgrades" within the package are already included in the PP. how much of a true upgrade over the PP do you think this package represents?
I'll second Vile's observations on MPG decreases.
Since adding the JLT CAI, Borla S Types and a Lund tune, my MPG has gotten worse. I just can't for the life of me figure out why though.
Just wondering, what does having traction control off add to the sport drive/steering combo?
Frankly I've never tried, probably stupid since I live in Phoenix where the need for it is limited at best.
Borla S Types on mine.
Was 99% sure i wanted the FRPP Sports but stumbled upon a clip with the S Types and never looked back.
But they're loud. Really loud. Nice deep rumble too. I can't imagine what the ATAKs sound like in real life.
Generally yes. I have a lund 91 octane tune, with JLT CAI and Borla S Type.
I need to do some data logging to get it truly dialed in, but there was definitely an improvement after installing it.
Thinking about it, yes.
Pretty sure the wife would leave me if I actually followed through on it though.
But to be fair, it was her attraction to the 2016 GT350 that set us down the path to getting the 2015 GT (the thought of her driving a 525hp car is unsettling, to say the least, nevermind the...
As a side note, I know that Harbor Freight has a generally pretty poor/cheap reputation with some of their stuff, but I couldn't have been happier or more impressed with the stuff I've gotten from them. Every bit as good.
I used the 3 ton low profile jack from Harbor Freight, cost about $75 on sale with coupon. I added the 2 ton cross beam to use with it, it allows you to lift via two points on the car instead of just one, cost $30 on sale with coupon when I bought it. It really couldn't have been easier.
I...
I gave up waiting for the Ford products and went JLT/Lund.
All in all I'm real happy with the decision, and as others point out, the risk of damage as a result of either is a fraction above non-existent.
Don't know why this is coming back to me now...
A few weeks ago I drove up to Vegas and back, first time I had the opportunity and excuse to do so. From Phoenix it's about 4-4.5 hours depending on where in Phoenix you live.
For the trip I had an Escort 9500 going to keep me out of trouble...
For what it's worth, I just put in the Borla S Type catbacks. Coupled with a JLT CAI, it's frightening. Stuff of nightmares and angry nightmares.
I went with this over the FRPP Sport, thinking no one ever said it's too loud, but wow is it loud. Low and deep with great bass. I love it. But...
I've been averaging about 14 in 75% city driving. I look forward to red lights...
Drove up to Vegas this past weekend and averaged 25.0 on the way up, mostly on cruise at 73 but some limited "spirited" driving. I was up to 26.0 at one point but I wanted to have some fun. Averaged 24.0 for...
