  1. How many of us men without hair own S550s?

+1 on the receding hairline, I now get really low haircuts. I tell my younger brother (A GM guy) that my hairline is receding from all the acceleration I experience and that I’d still have a full head of hair if I drove a Camaro :cwl:
  2. Do you brush first or floss first?

    What’s your preferred sequence?
  3. Your thoughts on IRS

All valid points. IRS outperforms solid axles in cornering ability. Solid axles outperform IRS in drag racing. I just wish there were more twisty roads around me to enjoy the IRS.
  4. Your thoughts on IRS

I’m with the OP on this. I’ve driven/owned many mustangs (1960’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s and up to current models) and I honestly prefer the solid axle. It feels lively, compared to the IRS that is just numb and boring. While I don’t agree with all the criticisms that solid axles get, I can...

  6. Steering pinion shaft play

I’ve noticed some clunking noises during slow turns. I verified all suspension and steering bolts are tight. While inspecting, I noticed excessive play on the steering pinion shaft. I haven’t hit any curbs or potholes, etc. The car has 10,xxx miles. While it’s not very common, I have seen a...

Thanks 😊, I’m on stock suspension, I do have magneride though.
  8. Pet Peeves

Speaking of flying... The annoying behavior of people at the luggage claim areas. I don’t think people understand that the luggage claim belt moves and will bring the luggage to you. It’s not necessary for everyone to pile up in one area. Nor is it necessary for people to make a mad dash...
  9. Please Help - Brake stuck when starting my mustang 2015

Sounds like a leaking brake booster check valve or leaking brake booster. Vacuum in the system is supposed to be held for emergency braking in the event that the engine stalls. The system should normally hold vacuum overnight. I would get it looked at immediately.
  10. Pet Peeves

People who can’t stay in their lane People who can’t park The people noted above who act like it’s no big deal when damage is done. Most of the time they don’t care because their vehicle, attitude, and/or life sucks. People who think the world revolves around them People who don’t understand...

When you go to the dealership and notice that the advisors, techs, and customers can’t stop staring in awe.
  12. Pet Peeves

When at a red light or any other reason for stopped vehicles, people who stop their vehicle so that their window lines up with your window. These people may also creep forward if you do. These drivers are the equivalent of bathroom users who select the urinal next to you, despite having many...
  13. What engine in what car would you like to see?

If it were to exist, a V10 version of the coyote would be interesting in an S550.
  14. 2020 Base GT tires

They were Zenna Argus, just some cheap tires to keep me rolling. I never intended to keep the stock wheels on for long.
  15. 2020 Base GT tires

When I had my ā€˜17 GT with the stock 18x8 wheels, I tried out 255/45R18 tires. They weren’t a problem to mount at all. Traction was slightly better but still insufficient. Here’s what they looked like:

  17. Steeda Tri-ax street short shifter installation

-Video: Steeda Tri-ax installation and comparison on a 2019 Bullitt -Screw your video, I demand text and pictures: Installation wasn’t bad even with stopping to record. The shifter feels great and the shift throw is significantly shorter. Thanks @tj@steeda for the forum discount code!
  18. Yes, driving a manual makes you smarter, more skilled, a better driver, more of a car guy, and more handsome too.

The defining line for what does and doesn’t count as a manual varies with personal perspective. To me a DCT doesn’t count since it’s fully automated. Any sequential, whether actuated by paddles or a shifter still counts since the gears must be selected by the driver. Air shifters fall into a...
