The most interesting thing about that vid was that the VSP guy was smoking a cigar.
At the beginning I was like "Why is he holding a flashlight in his mouth?"
Big stogey.
I'm not new to the dragstrip.
My question was how to drive the car.
This guy got high 11's with a bone stock non PP GT just like mine.
The only things he mentions are drag mode and TC off. Eventually he unplugged the sensor everyone has mentioned but originally he was just in "drag mode"...
Not everywhere.
Try doing that through the 295 Hopewell area and you WILL get a ticket, assuming they're sitting in their usual spots.
And they are 75% of the time.
Ok so I have a 40 mile one way trip to work everyday. Closest town is 15-20 min away.
In fact, I can't envision a situation where the car is not only up to operational temp but also being driven for at least 15-20min at a time.
Do I really need a separator?
If it's still a good idea great...
I'm not ready for tires yet but was just wondering what the widest tire can be put on the factory 20" wheels?
I'm still on the stock BFG all seasons, 265's.
Was wondering about 275/285's.
It's louder but not crazy. You definitely notice the tone change inside.
I get no drone on the highway but you can actually hear the exhaust now when your cruising.
This video from CJP does a great before and after comparison.
My car will remain mostly stock and be a DD (just got it two weeks ago).
I drive roughly 80 miles round trip everyday, 99% interstate. Probably another 100 miles on the weekend, mostly interstate.
What are the other DD's on here averaging mileage wise?
LOL it's definitely louder but that's what we were going for right?
I think it's the perfect balance between "thats not stock" and "obnoxious".
My personal opinion of course.
I wish you good luck in your pursuit OP.
I just got a res delete/x-pipe install done on my non AE car and I think it's the perfect balance of noise, especially for a DD like myself.
Went to a friend's that has a lift and even with the friendly talk it took less than hour from lifting it off the ground to setting it back down.
Super happy with the results. It's just what I was looking for, more aggressive than stock but not obnoxious.
Just throwing this out there to...
