  1. 6.8 liter in 2022/3 mustang?

Well now this is making less sense. Why would Ford create a bespoke engine using different compo I'm using the Porsche as a case study in how power to weight can make a car punch WELL above the horsepower on paper. No one asked for a rear engine Mustang. The problem here is the Mustang is...
  2. 6.8 liter in 2022/3 mustang?

I'd much rather have a 3400 lb Mustang with a 5.0 than a 4100 lb mustang with a 6.8. The physics of it all is very clear. It's the reason a Porsche 911 does so well in.....well everything really.
  3. S650 Mustang to use unique platform with elements from CD6

Which I think is a bit unfortunate. I wish there was justification to create a lighter, stiffer platform for the S650.
  4. S650 Mustang to use unique platform with elements from CD6

According to Ford Authority and their sources, it looks like the Mustang will stay on a unique chassis that instead incorporates elements from the CD6. This calms my fears about the Mustang becoming too large and gaining too much weight. What about you guys? Ford Has No Plans To Use CD6...
  5. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Ever so slightly, but the fender is flared so there is minimal rubbing.
  6. 6.8 liter in 2022/3 mustang?

Who would want this heavy ass engine in the front of an already porky, traction limited, Mustang? I get some of you guys are slobbering over a big engine, but no. The Mustang needs a diet, seriously. If the 1/4 mile times of the GT500 aren't a good enough lesson for weight reduction, I don't...
  7. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Possibly. I'll likely take it to a race shop to see if that's possible.
  8. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

20x9.5/11 Rotiform KPS wheels with an +25 offset for a deep concave. Tires are 265/305/35/20 Fender pulling was $160 at a local shop. Only pulled them about .5"-1" to flare them. No more rubbing unless I hit a significant road imperfection at speed.
  9. Random thoughts.......................

Why does every generation think the next generation is the worst to ever walk the planet? As if they are some generation that has propelled human society so much that they are the gatekeepers of the human standard. Live your life, stay in your own lane, and die like everyone else. :cwl:
  10. False Advertising & Bait n’ Switch Tatics (Buyer Beware)

Lol. What're y'all complaining about? Most ads are automated and not under the direct control of the vendor. AM is the advertiser, however, the publisher is someone else. The code literally says July in it. This is standard practice for all internet-based companies as you can find expired...
  11. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Got a new wheel tire setup that is entirely too aggressive, and had to get the fenders pulled/rolled. But.....I think I might need to dump my s.o. and marry this car....
  12. Caliper Color Change

LOL! Bro you've modded out your car as well. There's nothing on mine that says GT500 and we can debate the rear calipers and the fact that it's a Brembo car all day long. I'm not exactly sure what point you're trying to make here, other than sounding like a G2 spokesperson, but I answered...
  13. New 6.8L V8 Engine Coming For Mustang in 2022?!

I definitely agree with the sentiment and sure, if you want to try to squeeze the last 5% of performance out of a front engine car, you can definitely do that. However, you do run into diminishing returns. The amount of work and effort to get the last percentage is exponentially higher than it...
  14. Caliper Color Change

Value is a matter of perspective, I guess. They did 3 coats of paint and 2 coats of clear, like the bodywork. Saying 1 coat of high-temp paint is not needed on 6 piston Brembos is hilarious if you want the job to last longer than a year. Also, I have a 3 year warranty with the paint job so if...
  15. Caliper Color Change

Got a 3 year warranty on it if there are issues. You're probably right though.
  16. Caliper Color Change

Yeah, some people think G2 is god's gift to paint. I've had much more success in the past with VHT if I was using a rattle can. $350 for the powder coat sounds like a great deal. Did you have to rebuild them yourself? The cheapest powder coat I've ever been quoted has been $600.
  17. Caliper Color Change

Did you even read my post? I specified that it didn't hold up in the humidity of the south. You're in California with a completely different climate. 100F with 100% humidity in Houston definitely makes a difference in how things cure. Also, the website you linked has a pint at $100. That's...
  18. Caliper Color Change

I cannot stand G2. G2 does not set or cure properly if you're in the humidity of the south. I had mine professionally painted for about $350. Mine was a bit expensive because I had them color matched and Ford is the only one with the right Orange Fury color.
