  1. 2018 Mustang Refresh More Spy Shots...

"Look for the updated Mustang to break cover some time in 2017. Detroit looks like a safe bet." LeftLaneNews 2010 Mustang revealed at the 2008 LA auto show. 2013 Mustang revealed at the 2011 LA auto show. I say it's a safe bet the 2018 Mustang will be revealed at this year's LA auto show...
  2. My 2017 taken without permission.... help!

I assume it's for security reasons. What if for some reason the car is on and you drop the key fob and drive away? Can you imagine if the car shuts down at 40+ mph in the middle lane?
  3. My 2017 taken without permission.... help!

Nothing like a good old fashioned key. My favorite is the VW knife key. The advantage that I have with my Stang is that it's stick-shift and all of my closest friends and most of my cousins (except 1 that I trust) don't know how to drive manual :D
  4. Anyone bored of their Mustang?

Ha! I have a 2010 and I'm still not bored with it. Actually, I get a big grind every morning that I fired up that 4.6L. :D The best exhaust note from factory ever!! Only 315 hp, but boy, those 315 hp do give me some adrenaline rush!! :headbang: I can only imagine what can a 5.0 do to me and...
  5. Totaled - RIP My Love

I'm not a climatologist or anything but 66F is 66F in the mojave desert or in the north pole
  6. 2018 Mustang Mule with Fabricated Hood Bump, Substituted Lights

Big exterior refresh? the 13/14s? No way, it was a minor facelift. Big refresh was the 2010 from 2009. It was the same platform and same powertrain, but the exterior (not roof) and the interior were completely redesigned.
  7. 2018 Mustang Mule with Fabricated Hood Bump, Substituted Lights

Exactly, like I said earlier, the '17 V6 no longer has wheel options. I think the '18 will probably be for rental companies only. The reason for generic headlights and wheels.
  8. 2018 Mustang Mule with Fabricated Hood Bump, Substituted Lights

I don't think these are the production headlights for the '18. If they went out to the wild with hardly any cameo is because they are testing the powertrain or some sort of software. If these were the production headlights we probably would have seen a modified bumper or taillights. Or if they...
  9. 2018 Mustang Refresh (Prototype) First Look!

True. I've been noticing this in San Diego. I've been going non-stop to the SD auto show since 1994 and every year the show gets worse. I've been Audi fan since 1994 and every year it gets worse in the SD auto show. This last time Audi had like 7 cars only. Ford, GM and Chrysler group do have...
  10. 2018 Mustang Refresh (Prototype) First Look!

Ford, Mazda and Volvo skipped Paris? Wow!! You think we are at the beginning of the end of Auto Shows as we know them?
  11. 2018 Mustang Refresh (Prototype) First Look!

Interesting engine lineup, but I think this updates are substantial for a mid-cycle facelift. This lineup is more realistic for the S650, but who knows? Everything it's possible. My take is that the 3.7 will still be offered as the entry level Stang (has more power than the entry level Camaro)...
  12. 2018 Mustang Refresh (Prototype) First Look!

I can't remember where I read that the 10 speed will be offered only on high performance mustangs initially. Are they referring to the rumored Mach 1 and GT500 or the GT is getting a significant upgrade on its 5.0 and it needs the 10 speed to handle the power?
  13. 2018 Mustang Refresh (Prototype) First Look!

I just read it in the comment section at MT's website. Is it legit? I don't think so, but let's hope he's right.
  14. 2018 Mustang Refresh (Prototype) First Look!

This statement by csneed623 was at the comment section of Motor Trend's article about the 2018 Mustang. "Saw the actual redesign in Vegas last month in a secret ford dealer meeting and it looks sweet. Horse power bump on all motors, quad pipes standard on GT with V8, LED headlights now...
  15. 2018 Mustang Refresh (Prototype) First Look!

Same here. I'm not a big fan of the fusionesque front-end but I love the rear. The stance, the fastback look, the width and taillights. It looks pretty awesome!!
  16. 2018 Mustang Refresh (Prototype) First Look!

Nice!! Can't wait!! My take is that it will be revealed in LA just like the 2010 (2008 auto show) and the 2013 (2011 auto show) and perhaps a Mach 1 or GT500 at the Detroit auto show.:ford:
  17. EB or GT?

I hear you. Back in January of '15 my budget was $25K max. The thing is, I can't stand a Mustang that's not V8. I love the V8 rumble and exhaust note, so I went for a S197. My 2010 was $22,999 and brought them down to $19,600. I also wanted to own the 4.6L before the 5.0 because of its exhaust...
  18. EB or GT?

Niceeeee!!!! I think lighting blue is winning me over the race red  I wish Ford offer the dark saddle interior with the lighting blue.
  19. EB or GT?

The one I built was EB premium manual with PP and it came out at $35,200. For that $$ I'd rather sacrifice the luxo items and go base GT.
  20. EB or GT?

The base EB is a bargain but the EB premium is very expensive. From the base EB to the premium EB is almost a $6,000 increase vs $4,000 increase from the base GT to premium GT. A premium EB with PP cost $35K. Not too long ago, the 5.0 premium with track pack was around $38K
