  1. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

 Barren and empty yes... except for flies and cops.Feels like theres more around of the latter.
  2. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

I'm wondering how most of you broke in your new cars. Apart from the common sense things like dont lug the engine, vary the RPM and prevent long drives at constant gearing and throttle. Did you stick to limited RPM's? In Oz which is so heavily policed its actually very hard to give the car...
  3. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

Agreed. Everyone I speak to over here in Australia wants the V8. The Ecoboost gets very little attention. I'm surprised that its still being sold here. I spoke to William Stopford from www.carexpert.com.au a while back and he told me manuals are around 30% of all Mustang sales in Australia. I...

    Well said! 👍
  5. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

Hehe - Yeah I have similar thoughts. The manual is already gone in the UK. Where did you order yours from if you dont mind me asking? Mine's from Seaview Ford.
  6. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

Yeah I was in the same boat initially. I was looking for a V8 manual. After settling on the Mustang I was in two between the auto and the manual. A manual is a wonderful thing, but I will also daily my car, so it will be used in heavy traffic on most days. I've read some good things about the...
  7. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

In Aus we dont have the GT500 or the GT350. We just have the Ecoboost and GT. We are almost always last in line to receive the attention as well because we are a small market. If production of the S650 starts in March next year, my money would be on the S650 only reaching Australian shores by...
  8. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

Australia is a very different market to the US.
  9. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

Agreed. I'm also in Perth. Zero availability. Unless you are willing to pay through the nose for a used one. I'd rather just be patient and wait.
  10. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

 You might be right... time will tell.
  11. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

I'd just go with the official Ford Performance ones. They can be optioned at the time of purchase and are an official Ford part. Can also be purchased after the fact from many places. Here is one example...
  12. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

The only two things I am thinking about changing on mine will be to get the blacked out pony and 5.0 emblems, as well as the Ford Performance hood struts. Those I will just install myself if they are too expensive from the dealer. The rest of the car will stay stock I reckon. I cant wait!
  13. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

The ford.com.au site doesn't have the '22 builder yet but I used the UK site to build a stock car in Atlas Blue. Not sure the colour is accurate but I thought it looks great. I might just black out the badges, but other than that I'd leave it alone.
  14. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

I don't know if this is going to be the case in general for Aus, but the dealer said they ordered 3 CS's but they were going to sell them for around $85-$90k. I know the general info at the moment is that they will only be $2k more but the dealer was adamant that they will sell for around a 10K...
  15. Which Fuel?

Thanks guys for the interesting responses. I think I will aim to always use 98. However, it is good to know that 95 or 91 can be used in a emergency when 98 is unavailable. My car (when I get it) wont be a garage queen. It will be used as a daily. One never knows when you're in a pinch and you...
  16. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

Lol - I known mate! It was tough to let the old girl go. The RR was just awesome and the feeling of raw power and acceleration on a bike like that just cannot be replicated in a car. Unfortunately the misses told me it had to go. She had someone close to her loose his life on a motorcycle...
  17. Which Fuel?

I'm just curious what fuel everyone is using. I see the V8 can run on 91-98 octane but Ford recommends 98. I know E10 is probably to be avoided. I'm just wondering what the power losses would be between 91 and 98. Do you guys think there is a big different between Shell 98 and BP 98? Thought...
  18. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

Well, I pulled the trigger and put my name on the list. Atlas Blue, auto. I was torn between a standard GT and the CS but in the end I went with the standard car. I just cant get over those "glued on" air scoops of the CS. It just looks too "boy racer" to me. I like a cleaner look. So I ordered...
  19. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

This is a good point. I see some tests of the auto and then the journalist complains about the auto hunting or being indecisive. The question is whether they gave the box enough time to learn how the driver drives. Maybe with more time that will get better and go away.
  20. Thinking/Dreaming about ordering a Mustang

I do love a good manual. I am planning on using this daily so there will be lots of heavy traffic work. This may be the deciding factor in my case. I haven't heard much about MT82 problems in Australia but it seems like it was certainly a fairly big thing in the US. Problems arent so much...
