There is some debate about this but I believe they're the same seats in a premium mustang. So you can go to your local dealer and see them for yourself
The free floating pins also allow the iron disc to grow as it gets hot without putting stress on the aluminum hat. If it were bolted to the hat, there would be stress at the connection points as the two metals expand at different rates.
People keep saying this but I haven't seen any evidence. I posted side-by-side pics of the Tech Pack seats and the 50th LE seats in another thread and they look exactly the same. Same stitching even. The only difference was the color and the fact that the Tech Pack seats had Alcantera inserts.
I can tell you that my dealer paid the fee way back when the program opened. They are a medium sized dealer near Houston. He's just telling me that they can't order yet.

They've been pretty clear over here that the GT350 will be North American only. Some speculate that at least one reason is the lower hood would not pass European pedestrian impact standards. I can imagine that there might also be costs associated with other types of safety/emissions compliance...
