Yeah, I got a nice "fake" email from my purchasing dealer a short while back... Marketing or not, I have to say this it's a pretty shady practice. I don't have any good things to say about the purchasing dealer as it stands - long story there, so it doesn't surprise me that they have no issues...
Sounds good! A PD blower is a great "all-rounder", plenty of low end torque and power is always there... really it all depends on what your end goals are with the car. A big single turbo would be great for the track, but would probably be a bit laggy for the street. JMO.
Small world indeed. Flag me down if you see me. I usually hang around Canadian Tire on Dundas in the east end on Sunday evenings for their cruise night.
I live in Dorchester, so I usually frequent the east end or Richmond row. Pretty sure I'm one of only a few Grabber Blue 5.0's in town so you've probably seen me around.
I ran the stock OPG and CS for about a year and a half while the car was still running on Roush's phase 1 tune. I've since tuned and will be turning it up some more over the next little while, so OPG and CS went in for peace of mind. I'd rather pay for OPG and CS than a new motor.
I'd be livid getting nonsense like this back. I'd go to another dealer, but I'd still call the service manager at the one you went to and ask what the techs are smoking.
My tuner is Palm Beach Dyno.
It may be an HPTuners specific function - the COBB probably does not have support for it.
Here's a screenshot from a sample file - PCM Alt Control. I don't have the ability to open my tune from PBD as its in nGauge format, but this is what I am assuming they disabled.
Talk about over regulation... wow.
I feel for anyone living in CA on the whole, even more so now for those in Sacramento. Do they not have anything better to worry about out there? Seriously???? Sure.. oil changes, brakes, whatnot... that's all good. But what happens to the father and son who...
This right here. Add in an annual rust protection spray, and you have nothing to worry about providing you take care of the car.
I also suppose all those people driving $150K BMW's, $300K Lambo Urus' (Urus's?) in the winter are going to be rust buckets in about 2 years /sarc.
We are not dealing...
Hehe when I said that it was totally tongue-in-cheek. Believe me when the weather gets warm here for about 5 months a year, the change back to the cold is horrible. Anything under 15C and I am freezing... so I know what it's like haha. And yeah.... we have had snow here in London the past 3 or 4...
The alternator's output is PCM controlled... meaning it will not output full power unless commanded. There is also a battery management system that manages charging to prolong battery life - it may need to be reset since you've changed the battery.
I have an aftermarket stereo - 800W and 1500W...
I drive all year round, but since I work from home I don't need to commute everyday. If the weather is bad, I usually don't go anywhere unless I absolutely have to. I have the car Krown sprayed annually and have done this since I bought the car new.... also wash it on a weekly basis. Not a spec...
I get about 23-24mpg on the highway with cruise set at 115 km/h. Around town, I usually see about 15-17.
Once you put a blower on, all you'll care about is smiles per gallon. Lol
They can't void your entire warranty.. only a certain portion. For example, they can deny replacing your engine if it pops and they found out the car was tuned. However, they can't deny warranty on your convertible top, paint, interior, body, etc. just because you tuned the car. Unfortunately...
