  1. Road Trip: Mustang GT or GT350?

That is one great looking road trip. It looks like you will be taking in many of the greatest attractions in the US. My wife and I have done 49 of the 50 states in our Mustang. Enjoyed every minute and mile of it. My one worry each day was always whether the car would be in the motel parking...
  2. JUNE 2016 SALES (Mustang vs. Camaro vs. Challenger) - Check First Post

In June the rate of Mustang vs Camaro sales in Canada continued to be over 3 to 1 for Mustang. Challenger also beat the Camaro again.
  3. MAY 2016 SALES

I wasn't suggesting Chevy would try to prevent rental agencies from buying the Camaro vert. I couldn't believe the rental companies would want to buy it with such limited luggage space. Sure there will be some travelers with small luggage requirements and some who could use the rear seat as a...
  4. MAY 2016 SALES

How in the world could Chevy sell any Camaro convertibles to a rental company with that already small trunk significantly cut down further when the top is down? With so little leg room in the back and reduced passenger side visibility with the top up, I would be afraid to rent one. I will be...
  5. MAY 2016 SALES

Mustang is doing an even better job against Camaro in Canada, outselling Camaro by 230% in May and 232% YTD. http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2016/06/canada-sports-car-sales-figures-may-2016-ytd.html "The math is simple: Ford sold more Mustangs in May than GM sold Chevrolet Camaros in the first...
  6. Ford GT is leading 24HR

I watched about 1/2 of the race on FordPerformance.TV. It was truly amazing. You could watch the leader board, see which Ford GTs were within passing distance of another contender, then switch to that cars cameras and watch it pass or be passed, LIVE. All of the delicious motor, shifting...
  7. GT #1 qualifier for Le Mans

Another report. http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/ford-ferrari-hit-with-pre-race-bop-changes/ Hopefully they are all done now with the sandbagging and BoP discussions and we can have a great race.
  8. GT #1 qualifier for Le Mans

Here is a video with Dave Pericak commenting on the BoP/sandbagging controversy. http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/video-le-mans-report-friday/
  9. GT #1 qualifier for Le Mans

So Qualifying is over and Ford has P1, P2, P4 & P5 for GTE Pro. No matter what happens with further BoP changes and the race, Ford, Multimatic and CGR did an amazing job after an almost 50 years absence from Le Mans, with a brand new car that turned it's first wheel only a year ago. The...
  10. GT #1 qualifier for Le Mans

Fighting talk from Ford on sandbagging allegations http://www.motorsport.com/lemans/news/fighting-talk-from-ford-on-sandbagging-allegations-788902/
  11. GT #1 qualifier for Le Mans

More info on the BoP dispute. http://www.motorsport.com/lemans/news/le-mans-gte-pro-teams-risk-in-race-penalties-for-manipulation-788803/ Note this paragraph “Remember that in GTE we have new regulations this year,” added Niclot. “We are happy with these regulations because we can develop some...
  12. GT #1 qualifier for Le Mans

Stunning outcome from 1st Qualifying with 4 GTs in the top 5 GTE Pro. Lots of chatter about Ford sandbagging for BoP advantage. Same could be said about Ferraris. Both stepped up several seconds from last testing. Corvette fans not happy.
  13. What is the Greatest Ford of all Times?

The original GT350s had the greatest impact on my love of Ford cars and especially Mustangs.
  14. Here is the 1800 mile trip I'm planning next year

My wife and I have done all of the US states, Canadian provinces and Territories accessible by road in our '86. Only Hawaii and Nunavut missed. Whenever friends ask for suggestions for a road trip, my favorite suggestion is to fly to Vegas, rent a Mustang convertible, do Death Valley for a day...
  15. Here is the 1800 mile trip I'm planning next year

Give some thought to cruising Death Valley out of Vegas, then 395 up to Yosemite and Lake Tahoe before heading to the coast. Amazing scenery and some fun roads. My '86 did fine in Death Valley in July so your car won't even notice the Valley in April, but you certainly will. It is incredible.
  16. '16 Camaro Reviews are starting to hit the sites.

I think you can expect an insurance premium added to the cost of the Camaro after all of the accidents caused by watching the reflection of your date's crotch on the center screen whenever you turn into the sun.
  17. '16 Camaro Reviews are starting to hit the sites.

A story and an opinion about the uncivil animosity that is going on in this thread between Mustang and Camaro fans about the release of the new Camaro. Did I do something wrong? Am I not allowed to have an opinion? Are you as a CTS-V owner and a Camaro buyer on this Mustang forum someone that I...
  18. '16 Camaro Reviews are starting to hit the sites.

I would like to tell you a little story and get your observations about the relevance to the ongoing battle and often lack of civility between the Mustang/Camaro teams. I am a longstanding member of the Mustang Club of America and have traveled to and participated in their events for many...
  19. '16 Camaro Reviews are starting to hit the sites.

The Mustang/Camaro wars are all about the drama. Current winner/loser is irrelevant. What I like or you like is irrelevant. Who sold the most cars last year is irrelevant. Who won the last race or magazine cover is irrelevant. What I bought or you bought is irrelevant. Only the ongoing battle...
  20. '16 Camaro Reviews are starting to hit the sites.

There used to be a time when we all trusted what was said by the magazines and the manufacturers about the specs and the performance of the latest and greatest. If that was still the case then saying that "the stock Mustang GT is outgunned by the stock Camaro SS right now" might be a legitimate...
