It's completely different. It won't work.
It doesn't have to be done by a dealer for warranty purposes. It just needs to be done by someone who is ASE certified. I'd find a local shop who's passionate about cars to do it. As far as cost, I believe it'll be around $500 by a dealer.
It's the internet so their opinions are fact. Also, everyone is an expert in driving an 18+ with 4.88s. OP is not allowed to drive and enjoy his car with 4.88s if it goes against my opinion... I mean fact! It'd be nice if people online in general would lean to being helpful instead of stating...
Agreed. The gearing needs work and I'm anxious to see if OP gets everything sorted. This will probably be my next mod so that 1st gear will finally be usable.
To each their own, but from a performance package perspective, it's lacking in my opinion. I'm starting to look for some 4.56 or even 4.88 gears if someone can post some before and after on a stock motor.
