Because IATs have exactly ZERO to do with the intercooler or turbo.
IATs are picked up straight after the air filter, before the turbo, before the intercooler, and should be within a couple of degrees of ambient air temps when moving.
You need to measure Charge Air Temps with a Cobb Accessport...
Ive not seen a block that can support 1000hp so its a bit of a moot point. A quick look at the kit and the number of bends in the pipe to fit what looks like a generic intercooler to the Mustangs pipes doesn't look so great to me honestly, especially for the price.
Id spend half on an ETS or...
I have the MBRP street and love it. If you want to quieten the cabin sound of any EB then look up how you disable the fake exhaust noise on our car, as it removes a lot of noise from the cabin
I have the MBRP street and no lie driving it for the first time after putting it on I was like... WTF did I do, this is way too loud and annoying (was also top down driving). After a few days it settled in and Ive loved it ever since, disabling the fake engine noise like a year after install...
I used to be Lund tuned and the shifts were hard and made normal driving suck, moved to Tune+ (and stock transmission tuning) and its way better from that alone, let alone more power.
I also track my car, but thats a couple of times a year vs basically every day driving it normally.
Adam does...
Have you never heard of noise cancelling headphones? go try a set like the Sony 1000MX or the Bose QC35. Basically they play a sound which cancels out the noises its trying to block.
So you need to be 3rd gear 2500RPM and start from there... so yeah you could but you might annoy the track by taking off slowly and getting to what you need then doing the pull.
Yeah I know a back road near me thats long, flat, trees off the road on each side and houses set back, theres so little streets attached to it so its easy to see whos around, do a few pulls and leave the area. Finding a good spot to do your data logging is important, here my car would be...
^^ Thats what I do, except I haven't had to do a 6th gear pull, and goddamn I hit like 170kmph I think on 3rd gear, with the limits all being 100kmph anywhere near me... 6th gear would be insane.
Also the data points to log, also your first tune if its Tune+ will have no power basically, I had less then my previous one as he's checking that everything looks good, it took 2-3 tunes before I had full power then a couple more for tweaks
Basically we're in a known state, not much is changing in Ecoboost land so there's less to talk about.
On facebook 3/4 of the threads are "what are the best first mods".
Ive found facebook to be busier in general to these forums the whole time.
I really want a good E85 kit thats a pump and...
Hence the fake noise. IMO once you go aftermarket exhaust you should turn it off.
Also, our T4's sound way worse then a lot of the hot hatch T4's around which is unfortunate. But then again I doubt Ford would want an i30N sounding Mustang either.
The microphones are for active noise cancellation, so they have a good reason to be there.
The fake exhaust sound though is common in a lot of cars, the GT has a diaphram to pump intake noises into hte cabin as well, and a lot of owners remove that because they dont like it.
For the crack, put some blutak or such on the crack and rev it and see what happens, if its blown off, then thats a leak.
Otherwise soapy water on all areas where it might leak and have the friend look for bubbles.
