Thanks, yes, I checked that they were symmetric.
And I was going mention toe but I assumed it was spec'd with toe-in, it looks like the front is spec'd at 0 but rear toe out. So maybe the wear is coming from the rear. I didn't realize toe-out is advantageous for a performance car, I really...
I assume all the front tires wear on the inside? I just have the base stock setup so I wouldn't expect too much camber. Or maybe my alignment is way off. I only have 16k miles on the car.
I was happy to finally get rid of my winter tires for my other car and was hoping not to have to store anything, especially since I got a truck and a bike rack that take up a lot of space. But I can reorganize things and find somewhere, and it's probably worth it since the stock wheels probably...
Yeah I'm from SoCal and used to run summers all year round without even thinking about it, never an issue. But I did test drive a car with summers a couple winters ago and it didn't have much traction, but I wasn't sure if it was just the car or not. (AMG with twin turbo V8.)
I used to live in snow country, but last year moved to a hot desert climate, except in the winter it usually gets into the 30s at night, and occasionally into the 20s. But daytime highs are usually above 40. I should never need to drive in snow.
I'm planning on getting summer tires, but I...
Thanks everyone. Unfortunately I've been busy and got bogged down in my analysis and missed my window of opportunity by one day and the sales have ended, but there are still some options or maybe the sales will come again. But there is where I ended up:
I've been a little paranoid about...
Thanks, good to know about the Apex sale. The one I would probably get is out of stock but I can wait, or there is another good option as well.
285/40-18 is pretty close to the stock diameter. Very few tires in that size though, although they do have the Michelin, but it's quite expensive.
I...
I was originally planning on tracking my car, but then I moved far away from any track, and my wife now drives the Mustang most of the time. But at least she now agrees that it needs more than the stock GT tire. We also moved to a warm climate so summer tires are more of an option.
I would...
Got the new arms today. It fixed the issue on the driver's side, but not on the passenger side. But the driver's blade wipes the area that was a problem with the passenger blade on the way down so I don't think it's much of an issue. Although I need to drive it in the rain to be sure. But we...

Interesting. I checked mine more carefully and the arm simply stands off of the windshield in the up position and doesn't exert any pressure on the blades. It either isn't installed or adjusted properly or it's the wrong arm or bent. I have another appointment Friday.
Yeah initially I just thought it was the blades and was just going to buy new ones, but then I checked it more closely. The arm pressure seems fine, and the blades are pretty floppy and don't have much spring. The arms are simply too far from the windshield in the up position.
