The fronts rub on hard turns and big dips. The rears dont rub at all. I've had the wheels since Januaryz but I cant really tell you much about wear thus far.
The wheel fit just fine without the spacer. You're correct that 305s work as a square set up with a spacer on the front. I opted for a 12mm spacer in the rear for a more aggressive stance.
Even the 11s with 305s aren't completely flush (to my liking at least). Check out my post with 305/35s on 19x11 +38. To get completely flush with 285 I would add a 25mm spacer.
