Understood. One of the fixes to that is a conversion kit to the new canister style. Thought I'd share some additional information.

Just updated my post. But here's the TSB. They replaced the oil filter assembly, gasket, oil cooler line O rings and oil pressure sensor. Also did an oil service with the new filter (metal core) I think its a 2087 vs. a 2062. (but that's from memory...) All under warranty.

If you have a 5.2 with the canister filter there is a TSB from Ford. They replace the filter housing, some gaskets/O rings and a sensor, I think. Mine is still at the shop but I'll post the part list when complete and a better account of the work. I didn't have problems with the canister getting...
