Collected Ruby Red EB auto convertible with custom pack at lunchtime, and swapped my plat onto it as part of the process.
I asked them not to clean or prepare it - and they didn't to the extent that all the plastic bags and bits of paper were still in it, but I didn't mind. And the shipping...
I saw there was a full page advert in The Times yesterday with a picture of a new GT, TY Mustang and an Edge (I think) with the tagline of "let go of what you know" and a link to unlearn.ford.co.uk
Seems to be actually not saying very much - one of those "build the brand" things but at least...
In the current Autocar there is a short test of the LHD GT against the M235i - but it mainly talks about the V8 engine against the turbo 6 and doesn't really say too much.
I don't understand why they tested the manual GT (£34K, 410bhp; 391lbft) against the auto M235i (£35.5k, 322bhp, 332lbft)...
Hendy Ford at Eastleigh (near Southampton) have a V8 convertible in the showroom; shadow black, all extras (not custom pack), saddle interior.
Looks good...! I was quite surprised, no big banners or anything - I didn't actually see it when I walked in, as the black car didn't "stand out" in...
According to the UK owners guide, it uses a 25W D8S bulb and has 2,000 lumens rather than the 3,000 for most HID bulbs - according to http://www.carlightblog.com/2012/02/14/xenon-for-everyone/
That site says: "An automatic headlight range control system and a headlamp washer system are...
I see Ford UK have now got a brochure for the Focus RS on the website.
I thought it had the same EB engine as the Mustang, but it is more powerful - 350PS rather than 317PS. Top speed is a rather scary 165mph. 0-62 is 4.7 secs. Not bad for a base price of £29,000
Ford are not doing a great...
There is a new brochure posted in the Australia section for RHD. Their specs are a little different to the UK ones, but the photo's do seem to be "genuine" as opposed to photoshopped!
The spec shows the EB uses 91RON while the V8 is 98RON... the small print does say the EB performance figures...
I have just seen there is now a pdf of the mustang handbook on the Ford UK website - go to the owners section and search for the 2016 mustang.
A quick look shows it has RHD controls and is marked GBR July 2015.
It is all getting closer!
I thought this deserved a new topic on its own. Prices are up by £1,000 - the ecoboost auto's have gone up £1,220
One member says his dealer has confirmed he will pay the original prices...
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22965 has pics of a RHD model on a trailer. It includes the window sticker which identifies it as a "2016" model but isn't for sale; it is some kind of "test tooling" version but it is possible it on the way to the UK.
it is a V8 auto.
I am...
Ford have just released some new video's at the "Under the skin" press event at: http://mustang.fordmedia.eu/enhanced.htm
Also the official 0-100kph times as well; 4.8 for the manual V8, and 5.8 for the manual EB. No times for the auto versions.
Top speed is 155 (v8) 145 (EB). I presume the...
I live in England and have ordered a EB vert for delivery next year. Ford UK are unable to give any detailed specs so far - I guess they haven't decided what exactly they will build on the Euro spec RHD models.
But I'd like to know - does the convertible come as standard with a one piece...
Here in the UK, Ford are now taking orders and stating RHD deliveries are expected "in Q4". Since it takes around 6 - 8 weeks to ship from the factory to the UK, this could mean they plan to make them in September, which would be 2016MY vehicles.
Or do you think they would produce RHD as the...
I live in Fareham and the only Ford Store in the area is Hendy Ford Eastleigh. I want a convertible for April 1st 2016 delivery.
They are able to take my details - on an "official" form - and a £1000 deposit and send the details off to Ford.
But they have no more info than is on the web site...
