OP, congratulation for useful solution.
But does LED sits now firm enough inside the holder not to rattle and blink or even fall out during vibrations?
I did.
No problems with finger prints or scratching, easy washing.
Horizontal channel is not a big problem, if you use proper soft nylon tool to push the foil deep into channel and persuade it to stay there with short help of the heat gun.
Only one small air bubble was caught in the...
^ Exactly what happened to me!
I have pushed damn lamp holder deep into housing during inserting LED bulb.
Then it was necessary to remove the dome.
Succeeded after 1/2 hour of cursing. But as others reporting, the dome is not seating flush any more.
The gap between dome's edge and ceiling...
I agree almost with ever single word you have wrote here.
All but this part of sentence: "...except in some smaller countries...like Netherlands, Belgium, Danmark and Norway."
Norway? 385,203 km²? Small?
OK, maybe you mean small by population...
Yeah, this is unfortunately true. And neither it is "my" color.
There are not much different colors available.
If I have to take Orange Fury, then this one is the way to go IMHO: https://www.carmodel.com/dm-models/61001/1-18/ford-usa/mustang-5-0-gt-coupe-lhd-2019/132942
Mine is fixed and holding in place so far.
I hope it will be permanent. If not, I will go back to dealership with the complain.
I wish you luck with your case.
Don't give up just like that.
The car had a few warranty issues plus annual service therefore stayed in workshop for 2 days without my
surveillance.
I have no idea, what they done with the bumper.
When I asked manager, he responded: "We've fix it".
I was not allowed to contact service personnel inside workshop directly...
Today I have picked up the car from service.
The gap is gone completely.
Left and right side of the bumper are identical now.
And it was done under warranty (without any costs for me).
I'm very satisfied with my dealer service.
^This is true.
But OP already has the car and AE came with it.
We don't know the circumstances about his decision to have AE or not.
It's there and he doesn't like to switch the modes.
The exhaust change (aftermarket axle back) remains an option, but it's significant additional cost.
Radically, but you can mechanically decouple exhaust butterfly valve from actuator and permanently block the valve in fully open position.
I don't know if car diagnostics would trigger any alerts in this case.
