  1. S550 Mustang Harness Mount Bar

I have been waiting for a harness bar however it looks like this is only a 2 bolt design and the bends on the rear seats serve no purpose as they are not bolted to anything. Oem seat belts have 3 mounting points per seat but this has 2 in total (not on b pillars at that..) seaming to be...
  2. Curious why more members don't opt for muffler delete vs expensive brand name exhaust

I'll try not good with technology. Either way will try and get before and afters of my muffler/res delete. What I would really love to see is some a functional diffuser and "stock diffuser" delete
  3. Turbo back exhaust on a budget---help

If you are worried about passing emissions and want horsepower from exhaust you are not going to find much of anything. Most gains are from the downpipe and even highflow cats may not pass. If you are going for sounds just bring her to a exhaust shop and swap mufflers or delete them.
  4. How much oil is too mucj in intake?

Any oil in the intake is bad, our car run on gas not oil and it's just the degree on which you should be concerned. I would add a clean side filter for safety when ever you get to it it, clean out intakes and see if anything changes
  5. Another one bit the dust.

What I think he's saying is that a catch can doesn't magically make oil dissappear from the intake, it just lowers the consumption not eliminating it. he didn't say anything about it being dangerous...
  6. Curious why more members don't opt for muffler delete vs expensive brand name exhaust

Nice! Getting a 3" single exit catback done saturday to keep close to that sound with a 3" downpipe. Will post when done!
  7. Catch can crisis

Every turbo engine is the same in regards to blow by and pcv systems, adding any catch can would be good. If you want a cheap functional system put a air compressor filter on the valve cover outlet to intake and run a heater hose to a air compressor filter then to the intake manifold. Expensive...
  8. Curious why more members don't opt for muffler delete vs expensive brand name exhaust

Why would they disagree?.. As far as I know, Subaru have never once made a true dual exhaust 4 cylinder. Their "dual exhaust" is a header collecting to a turbo or single exhaust splitting in the catback like ours, but if im wrong enlighten me so I can learn more. on the 20lb, every ounce counts...
  9. Curious why more members don't opt for muffler delete vs expensive brand name exhaust

Muffler delete ftw. Only aftermarket exhaust really worth the time to me are ultimate racing. No reason a 4cyl should be a dual exit, it just adds weight and cost. You can go a step further and delete the resonator with a straight through pipe to delete the the other half of the catback and save...
  10. Car not building enough boost !

I believe its the same as the other turbosmart's so just physically turn the body of the bov clockwise to tighten the spring. the adjustment shouldnt be the issue though unless its completely loose. I would tighten the bolt for the vacuum source on the top of the BOV, make sure the bov it...
  11. Car not building enough boost !

oh wow, I didn't even notice he left out a tuner.. I would imagine that could definitely do it as well hahah
  12. Car not building enough boost !

If you have no boost at all, you have a massive leak. check your BOV to make sure its hooked up to a correct source, go over all of your connections again. not sure if your BOV has an o-ring on the mounting face but if it does double check that its still there and that you didn't mount the BOV...

  14. ** long read; think Ford has an oil issue which they don't want to admit

Dude, a check valve is a simple object and unless you're pushing ungodly amount of pressure the check valve will not break or leak. You're right that it can come/would come from the clean side but you're forgetting that it can also come from the turbo seal itself. I don't 100% know but running a...
  15. ** long read; think Ford has an oil issue which they don't want to admit

It's because it's a new platform on a popular car, when I had my frs it was the same thing over there lo fighting over catback and cai gains... When i had my Fd, the rx7 forum was great because it was older platform and because they're blackmagic rotary engines, it forced people to work on their...
  16. Oil and Blown Engines. Oil data needed.

    1. Pennzoil Plat 5w30 2. every 5000 miles 3. Mishimoto (vented to atmosphere) 4. roughly every 3000 miles 5. 1/8-1/3rd full out of 3 times checked 6. 10,000 and dry 7. PVC = gutted old style
  17. ** long read; think Ford has an oil issue which they don't want to admit

Best way to answer that is most car owners wouldn't empty their catch cans if they came with them, most barely change oil every 3-5k and think their vehicles never need maintaining unless it stops starting. An overfilled catch can would destroy the engine by literally pouring oil into the intake...
  18. ** long read; think Ford has an oil issue which they don't want to admit

catless downpipes and VTA BOV's (aka 99% of ours) will fail emissions. does your BOV VTA or did you recirculate it? If its not recirculated than chances are you are already failing emissions. regardless, switching it to stock would be take literally 15min and depending where you live and you...
  19. ** long read; think Ford has an oil issue which they don't want to admit

Enlighten me, how is your catch can the "best" insurance from oil ingestion than a vent to atmosphere setup that lets in exactly 0% vapor/oil... That's like saying the best way to avoid STD's is to wear a condom when the best is actually to just not have sex. your product may be great, but it...
  20. ** long read; think Ford has an oil issue which they don't want to admit

That's because a scary majority of people on this forum just go off of what sponsors do/say and buy their parts. I've never been on a forum with so much bandwagoning but there are some people here that tinker and do their own thing. Its day 2 for me now and zero oil smell at decel/idle, VTA is...
