  1. Iat bung

So fabbing up some custom parts wednesday and mocking up a big turbo to see if itll even fit when i i ran into the issue of an intake for it. Hoping someone can lead me in the right direction or if i company would be willing to sell me a iat bung? Ive contacted MAP and mishi but as i figured...
  2. Reducing Under Hood Temps

Absolutely on point. Literally burned myself today... right no im looking into proper universal heat extractors (the miata guys have an extremely effective kit that i cant remember the name of). Proper heat extractors and ducting for intakes/INTERCOOLER help a lot. Currently making a mold for an...
  3. So vta smoke...

Thin screen of blue AKA oil. I get the now and then condensation white smoke but coming from cars from turbo frs, twin/single turbo fd rx7s, supercharged fieros etc.. im decenty knowledgeable the turbo issue signals. Im going to check shaft play/wheel damage this weekend. Im not over concerned...
  4. So vta smoke...

I have no clue! My best guess is that the piston ring on the exhaust housing side is too thin, giving oil and easier time getting through. When people switch to bigger turbos theyre upgrading to a more durable turbo. What i would definately love to learn is what the stock turbo has for oil...
  5. So vta smoke...

There is no return line because it is vta (vent to atmosphere) both pcv intake ports are capped and the catch can outlet is a breather.
  6. So vta smoke...

Very true however I'm concerned with the turbo. A mild dropen in backpressure shouldn't change the sealing on a well built/designed turbo. Valve train wise there's always going to be minute contamination but with direct injection you don't get the valve cleaning perks. This will happen in any DI...
  7. So vta smoke...

And please explain how intake valve will be changed...? Not being a dick just curious
  8. So vta smoke...

True, but look try and find a 2.25 or 2.5 aftermarket... any turbo platform for gas engine a 3" downpipe is standard mod. Most stock turbos have no issue but saying a turboback exhaust cause issues is BS, it's poor sealing. There's so many people here with 3" downpipe but bunch of muffler/res...
  9. So vta smoke...

Thank you, forgot to add that charge pipes were changed and intercooler was checked/cleaned when vta pcv was done. Only source of residual oil wouldve been in the intake manifold.
  10. So vta smoke...

Just figured I post finding to the forum on my vent to atmosphere pcv setup. I still get smoke on start up now and then and randomly at intersections. It's not a daily thing but more or lessomething once a week I see it in my mirrors. My pcv is gutted and runs to a catch can on both clean and...
  11. A little real world data on new cpe intercooler

Sure I can try, I log on a shitty laptop that I bring on deployments so I don't have anything to view but what program do you use to graph/view logs? Btw the point I'm trying to make is any aftermarket intercooler on near stock boost for the average owner isn't going to matter since most street...
  12. A little real world data on new cpe intercooler

well I can say in tucson arizona that running a MAP intercooler for almost a year, I've had zero issues and hardly ever see CAT's 20-25deg over ambient temp even in 106 deg today. any aftermarket replacement is miles better than stock.
  13. Stock exhaust back pressure

This Could Be interesting! Side note, I run a muffler and resonator delete (single exit) with stock downpipe and gained roughly 1.5psi. Can't wait to see if any results
  14. MMR only company that makes a TRUE 3.5" CAI?

Not sure if you've though about it but if it's going on a stock turbo car than either way no matter the diameter it's going to have to reduce down to the inlet (2.25" I believe?) That big may also give issues with iat sensor readings and pull less vacuum on the pcv hose (not entirely sure) just...
  15. Airraid CAI for 2015 Ecoboost Mustang - need your opinions

This 100%.. panel filters will net dang neat same whp gain as other intakes in near stock setups (near stock meaning roughly under 400hp and stock turbo). Only performance reason to get an aftermarket intake is if you're running a bigger turbo. The $300 intakes are using the same exact intake...
  16. Airraid CAI for 2015 Ecoboost Mustang - need your opinions

sealed are quieter, science and shit... but please, don't waste your money on cold air intakes for just for the sound.
  17. Tuners have a thinking outside the box exhaust sound question

Adding fuel on deceleration is not going to change the exhaust sound if that's what you are going for. As for the "pops", the less sound muffling pieces you have the more prominent it will be. Stock exhaust I had none but deleting that res and muffler I get a good amount almost every time I let...
  18. S550 Mustang Harness Mount Bar
