Good evening all
So, I’ve wanted to switch from my auto to a manual for a while. Finally found a nice Bullitt that had what I wanted, bought it yesterday. Never drove a stick before.
got it home fine, most of it was on the highway.
now we arrive to my problem. I really struggle releasing the...
Thanks everyone. I think I’m gonna pass on this, tho it kills me to do so, due to rust concerns from Ontario plus Carfax.
Ugh! I just want easy gratification! Lol
No frame damage as far as I or the mechanic could tell. They did an alignment on it for me, no problems there, thrust angle is like .08 or something not crabbing
and yeah there are plenty but it is nigh on impossible to find one that has grabber blue, manual, performance pack, and active valve...
It had undercoating/rust protection applied at about a year into its first owner so can’t really see if it’s rusting
The other thing is it will be my first manual car. How do you like the MT82, is it bearable in traffic?
I’m not sure it’s accurate that I’m making excuses, I’m trying to balance the advice I’ve been given/my risk tolerance with the allure of the spec
Howdy folks,
There is a GT PP1 that has the exact spec I’ve been looking for for years. It has been surprisingly difficult to find a car that is grabber blue, manual, pp1, and has active valve exhaust.
now, the problems. It has a moderate accident on its carfax, and it is originally sold in...
I really like the standard seats, and love cooled seats. My issue is that in the standard seat I don’t fit well with a helmet at 5’10”. I have to weirdly recline the seat to fit inside
How was dominion? I’ve only done Jefferson circuit for trackcross at summit point.
Really think you’d need a bigger radiator for first couple HPDEs? I’m on a base GT too
Trackcross and intro (read: slow) HPDE is what I grabbed the R10 R8 combo for as well. You don’t happen to do your trackcross at summit point, do you?
For what it’s worth, my rotors with R10s on them have a slight brownish hue to them, and they’re definitely not glazed - haven’t tracked these pads yet. I was assuming it’s just pad material
That’s pretty interesting to hear. The experiences seem quite mixed (on the noise front, not performance) so I wonder if it’s just the build quality variations of a small company.
I was surprised the edges weren’t chamfered but maybe that’s a track pad thing
Hmmm ok gotcha. I was ok with the light squeal/metal compound noise, but the wine glass - esque shriek is a bit much lol.
Do you have a non-PP? Wondering if I can easily change the front pads without removing the caliper
Ok same but only on one wheel haha. I expected a compound grating noise, but it sounds more like a really loud version of rubbing your finger around a wine glass
When you get the noise on a slow stop, is it quiet compound noise or a loud shriek sound?
Just curious as I’m getting the latter from one of my R10s and I’m not quite sure why. Seems to be getting worse as I put more miles on…
