The tweeters are 8 ohm because the tweeter and 3.5” mid are wired, in parallel I believe, to give around a 6 ohm load. Like I said in my response up above, changing out the speakers isnt always a good idea. To be honest for people new to car audio I never recommend it. I always say DSP first.

Too many tweeters. You don’t want tweets in the doors and in the pillars, it’s overkill,especially RF. They tend to have a tweeter that is a little more on the harsh side. Personally I’d look more at the Hertz stuff.

So was the idatalink cable a direct plug in for this amp? Did it plug directly into the stock car am; wiring and then right into the amp? I’m assuming this is how you got it work properly?

Yup, trash. I ended up taking them off after beating the crap out of them to fit. I sold the mid pipes and literally threw the headers in the trash. Very low quality for sure.
