And please let me know if it would be an adaptable item on the V6 engine! Not sure much on this topic at all, but I like to learn.
then again, maybe the engine is so much smaller and less heating that it only needs bigger radiator, pump, and swirling tank or whatever its called š
I have the humble V6 S550ā¦the base model to end all base modelsā¦
And its interior is superior to my 1995 Honda Accord EX Coupe I used to own, or the 2009 Honda Accord Sedan I still ownā¦
And is far better than my clientsā high end Lexus or my other clientās 330i. Only because I hate leather...
305 is tread width, 305mm. Square means I have them on every corner of the car bidirectionally so I can rotate tires more effectively to ensure they last longer. Versus a āstaggeredā setup where the rear ls are typically a bit wider, say 315mm.
Corner balancing for one thing, rotation is...
thank you all for your wisdom. I gleaned alot and the plan is now:
1) meet with investor agents next week to get finances in order
2) purchase house
3) build garage out and upgrade/build up my detail business
4) Build the V6 into a NASA TT4 car, get lots of seat time in HPDE, race it in TT...
I feel like on my smaller engine, manufacturers 5w-20 is good. I use mobil 1 right now advanced full synthetic, but may do your amsoil 5w-30 once she becomes a track only nomster.
I would love a 350R one day to build into a track only car, but we will see. The future Mrs. Filly wants to buy a home here, pay it off, rent it out, and then move out of state using the money we earn off it/save while here.
By that time, the S550s might be classicsā¦score.
I think you all convinced me out of a supercharger. I would rather stay N/A. Now its to the question of keep the V6 or not.
But if I did go supercharger I would have no issue being a test dummy. There are a small number of S197 V6s I have seen with a blower that are surpassing 150k miles on...
The cost of buying a new 30k+ car even after selling mine would put me in the red financially right now. I am ātechnicallyā poverty level.
But into the red mainly due to insurance. I currently insure my car, and it does NOT get full coverage for its worth even though its supposed to. Itās worth...
1. Not quite yet. I am pretty content with its engine note (its surprisingly tasty, just as tasty to me as a calmer GT), I want better suspension on her (CORTEX racing suspension paired with forged Apex Wheels and some ECFs to start imho), but otherwise she whips. People (and myself, even after...
V6 2015-2017, only the 6-speed 6r80 was offered or of course the manual MT82.
I have no chassis bracing, only weight removal and the assorted mods in my build list/thread. I am probably pretty far into middle 3.4k lbs territory, especially with the unsprung weight removal of lightweight 19x11s...
@S550HPP, also note that a 2019 EB HPP manual weighs 3,743lbs.
My 2016 V6 Auto weighed 3,526lbs. Before modificationsā¦
And I make more HP.
Why downgrade?
Perhaps if I wait for a few years, I can keep my V6 for the Mrs, and upgrade myself to a V8. Mach 1 is the dream, but a GT base would be better for my ridiculous plans :)
I donāt want to sell the car either due to the huge loss I would most likely take. And since my car is currently sitting at...
I appreciate your time, and thank you for the encouragement. I love not giving things to banks (and governments), so perhaps building what I want, own, and can afford to replace truly is priority.
Speaking with financial advisors next week.
No kids. Ever. Thanks. Pass.
But yes to GT and...
Perhaps keeping this is the best. Less weight truly is better...and I could just keep learning, then give the V6 to the Mrs. who wants to get into the sport and buy myself an already built GT or maybe build up a wrecked GT350.
I like paid for V6. It still goes vroom on track and I can keep up...
