    A short interlude in regards to the console USB hub. It is difficult to remove. Here is a picture of the entire assembly. Note the clips on all 4 sides.

    After much anguish and dirty words, it's disconnected and can be moved about a bit. We wish to move it back, away from the bezel.

    Once those 4 screws are removed, I open the console locker and start prying it up, starting at the back. This does not come off easy. A yellow pry tool is shown in the photo.

    The panels removed reveal 2 7mm screws (on each side) that help fasten the console to the rest of the car. Be careful with these, they can easily pop right off.

    This is one of the panels. Note the clips, and yes, that appears to be a magnet.

    The car actually looks better than this. The camera picks up every scratch and smudge and seems to magnify them.

    Step back, this is where we are. I recommend taking many small breaks to slow down. Taking apart automotive interiors is one of the worst things a person can do. It's how many less reputable countries torture dissidents.

    This is a bag of replacement clips for the interior plastic panels. I suggest getting some for projects like these.

    Using the same tool and fingers, I pried off the main dashboard panel.

    Using a plastic dash pry tool and my delicate fingers, I removed the panel. I thought I broke it, but it seems fine.
