You keeping the car for 20 years and only expect to drive 5k miles ?? To sell for gain?
Heck, give me that 50k you spent on it and I will guarantee at lest 3 times the return in 20 years :)
If we live that long to tell the story that is... Stuff it, take that car to the track, enjoy it today...
I would no way, no how pay 6k for ppf the whole car... just get the front bumper done which is harder to DYI (I did that one myself too, it's not easy, and might not come out perfect) , for about 500, and then do your own lower quarter panels and behind the wheels...
All the relatively...
Nope, did it last 2 track days.. I only cover my front stripes and mirrors as they take the beating, I have 3M film on the bumper otherwise. I applied liberally across the PPF film, came off with no issues.
I removed it at cold, if you warm it up a tad, even easier. Ignore my previous post about...
I used trakck armour on my last track day... it was OK. It seems to peel off pretty easy, but it is time consuming, and it looks bad like the previous poster said. It's fine by me, I don't do to track days to post photos on Facebook. I do it to enjoy it... It will protect your paint and...
Damn. I had t look 3 times to see it. To me it is a GT with a wannabe GT350 rear bumper...
EDIT: this GT REALLY wants to be a GT350, it also has GT350 track pack wing and wheels...
I really wanted a ZL1 when I came to US in 2014 ... l went to drive one.. with my wife... I loved it, but I wasn't sure about the looks still.
We looked at it, and she said "do you really see yourself getting out of this car, going to work, in your company's car park... or pretty much...
Price is right... 2020 has seem to have bumped up prices to all cars, especially semi-collectibles and special editions like these... I sold my wife's Mini cooper s for 2G more than I bought it in 2018.
Sorry, I had way better offers via PM... Price is firm for now. You can get an Ebay one for under 400, but trust me, it's not worth it. I tried one and returned it, and ended up splashing for Beith... Night and day as far as workmanship and attention to detail goes.
I start at 28 PSI on all and then I just check on the dash what max pressure I get during laps; so I try to keep it under or around 35 when hot... Or that's what one of the instructors I ran with told me; they "feel" ok there... I am not sure if mine are heat cycled out or not, but I do feel a...
Thanks for the info.
I mostly track with SCCA on track night of America, and they do only 3 x 20-25 min sessions starting at 4 PM to 7 PM... so I think I'll do one of those, should be fine, and then swap both fronts out.
Is it also in your experience also that rears last longer? I am thinking of...
I am selling my Beith Performance wheel.. Used for less than 1000 miles, like new. 600 shipped anywhere in 48 states. Carbon fiber and leather, red stitching, see pic.
Getting my car back to stock, I loved it otherwise.
Thanks
This would be it...
Thanks! I did rotate them from track day to track day, but this guy took most of the heat on Thompson Motorsports park, very heavy on front left, a lot of off heavy right hand turning..
These are actually after about 6200 miles all up, and about 5 track days, so not too bad ? Original tires...
Happy New Year all!
Just seeing some lines under the rubber, am I right saying that these are the cords; and this tire is no longer trackable ?
This was my front left.... the other one looks better (right one).
If that was the case, can I still just buy a pair of fronts, and run with the rears...
I am sorry, but after using ceramic protection on all my cars for the past 15 years (maybe more, pretty much since it came out; I used carnauba wax before, the only thing available back then in Australia), ceramic is very useful. It is like a snapshot of your paint in time, if you maintain it...
No, never do... Make more money with a private sale, most of the time... Trading in is making money for the dealer. If I have to buy from a dealer, I have a better bargaining power with cash...
From my experience, Cquartz UK 3.0 lasts just as long as Finest reserve with proper care (reload on top on every second car wash, or top up with Carpro Perl).
Xpel is very good, it will protect your car really well, and is much easier to apply than other products (stretches well and heals...
