  1. Smelling antifreeze

These radiators have crimped plastic side tanks on each side of the aluminum radiator with a rubber gasket between the tanks and the metal main radiator. The dealer took off the front belly pan to examine the entire radiator to find the leak.
  2. Smelling antifreeze

I had the same issue with my2018 GT. Very slight smell, slight drop in the overflow bottle every two weeks, and zero drips. My dealer found that the radiator had a bad side tank crimp which was only leaking when hot and sending steam out without dripping. I had the radiator replaced at 7K...
  3. Ford Performance Catch Can Shelby GT500 and HiPo 200 amp Alternator

I just read on the Ford Performance website that they have a GT 500 Catch Can that drains back into the motor eliminating the need to manually emptying the can. It comes standard on the carbon track pack models and can be purchased for other Shelby cars. They are also selling a Hi-Po 200 amp...
  4. jacking rails

I have the Steeda rails and they work great for all maintenance work. One jack point and half the car goes up. Yes they do stiffen the chassis and you can feel it!
  5. Ordering a 2020 GT - Should I buy auto or manual?

Get the A10 which also gives you the remote start added bonus. It is so cool to use!
  6. Finally got my 2020 Rapid Red GT PP1

Do a quick oil change in the first 200 miles. I did this with my 2018 and the amount of metal crud in the drain pan was scary. I was so upset that I repeated the next oil change at 600 miles and the metallic crud was 25%. My motor is quiet, no tics, nothing....cheap insurance!
  7. Worth getting the extended warranty? 2017 GT/CS

With the new Gen 3 Coyote motor issues, all new A10 tranny, and the past A/C inside dash condenser fiascos, the Ford ESPs are a piece of mind. And they have a payment program that allows you to spread the cost over a years time on a credit a credit card which is less painful. I keep my cars a...
  8. 2018 GT A10 Basket case of issues...

My dealer reflash has continued to solve all of my issues with the harsh coast downshifts and forward / reverse lunging. Once the reflash is performed, you or the dealer must perform a training road test sequence to make it work properly. This is critical. My dealer gave me the factory test...
  9. Factory Front Strut Failures at low mileage

I have a 2018 GT with the standard suspension and factory 19 inch wheels. Two weeks ago I noticed oil leaking under my car on the front driver's side. I put the car up on rams and found that the front driver's strut was blown and leaking oil everywhere. My local dealer replaced it under...
  10. Coolant and Oil Consumption

I had a small coolant loss in my 2018 GT which the dealer found to be a bad crimp in the side tank of the radiator which allows the leak under pressure. I was added coolant every three weeks before the problem was found. The side plastic tanks crimp onto the aluminum radiator with some rubber...
  11. What is the deal with the hostility and resentfulness here now?

More words behind the scenes are that the current Coyote V-8 motors cannot meet the upcoming Obama era emission requirements beyond 2025. Most of the Detriot big three have cut back or stopped all gas engine development work due to this upcoming hurdle. This why you are seeing all of the tiny...
  12. What is the deal with the hostility and resentfulness here now?

I have had a test ride in a Tesla and it was very dramatic and brutally fast. What upsets all of the Mustang fans is that this new car has no connection to the rich heritage of the Mustang brand. It is not a two door car, does not sound like a Mustang, no racing history, costs a lot of money...
  13. StangMode Walks Through (His) GT500 Factory Assembly Process

The UAW forced him to pull the video because it showed him assembling his own car and putting on the front driver's wheel with non-union labor. This violates their work contract I bet. It was a great video showing all of the final Q/C steps that go into making our cars.
  14. Can changing your own oil void warranty?

I have changed my oil three times on my 2018 GT in 6000 miles. The first two changes were pretty grim with lots of metallic crud in the catch pan. I use the Walmart purchased MC blend 5-20, a MC FL-500 filter, and take a photo of all of the materials lined up in front of my car on ramps. Next I...
  15. Air-Oil Separator Catch Can?

I installed a Ford Performance Catch Can on my 2018 GT and it really works. I am a moderate driver that likes to get on it once in a while and i was amazed at what this unit caught i just 2K of driving. I love keeping the intake clean for long life which is my plan for this car. Install was...
  16. Lots of questions from a Mustang shopper

And the terrific A10 comes with a factory remote start which is fantastic for hot and cold climates. Just set the seats the way you want them and remote start welcomes you with a warm or cool seat.
  17. Possibly a whole family of Mustangs coming.

The Mustang Mach E is going to be built in Mexico, has zero connection to the current 55 year old icon, and does not have a single FORD label / badge on the outside. How come? Well if this EV is a fiasco with recalls and bursting into flames like the Teslas, FORD has distant their name I...
  18. Active grill Shutters

I believe that all non PP GT from 2018 and up get the shutters. The PP cars have a HD radiator for added cooling at hard use. Like I stated before, i have never seen these in the closed position or noticed any different driving effects at high speed or cold weather start ups.
  19. Active grill Shutters

I have a 2018 non PP GT with the active grill shutters. I cannot figure out when these close up. I have looked at them in real cold weather figuring they may help with warm up but these are always open. At highway speed they must close up for aero gain but I cannot feel any difference in the...
  20. "Mustang Mach E" Confirmed, Reservations Begin Immediately After Nov 17 Live-Streamed Reveal

Warning....a Ford marketing fiasco is in progress as they destroy their icon Mustang brand. This Jim "Buddy" Hackett Pontiac Aztek humpback EV/CUV will be priced high, sell with incentives, and fool no one. May be fast as hell but needs a new name like perhaps Cougar or Thunderbird because you...
