I pull the carpet back behind the gas pedal and place a block of styrofoam against the floor. The gas pedal cannot be mashed to the floor and most techs don't know what is going on. It works very well and feels normal to most.
The issue is what front brakes do you have? 6 piston Brembos will not work with the Ford factory spare tire. And staggered wheel fitment is another issue that fights with the ABS and more. There are some aftermarket solutions out on the market I believe. You have got to carry a spare with...
Yes this package includes a locking steering column, interior motion sensors mounted up in the console, an anti jacking sensor with alarm, and yes locking lug nuts. The center armrest also locks I believe.
Test drive any A10 automatic in sport plus mode and never look back. It also comes with the terrific remote start feature. In bumper to bumper traffic, you will love the auto and it is the faster GT by a good measure. The premium heated and cooled seats are another must have option as you sit...
Do a quick early oil change to get the grit out of the motor(2-500 miles) , always leave the traction control on, and save up for some tire money. These are amazing cars!
Your tires are having a slight flat spot issue. I have the same issue with my 19 inch P-Zeros after the car sits for a day or two. The problem goes away once you get some highway driving and warmth in the tires.
I just saw a video YOUTUBE review of the Mach 1 with a 6 speed. The driver demonstrated a new "no lift shift' feature where you just keep your foot into it and shift gears with no clutch. I guess this is speed shifting with computer help but it must be tough on the Tremec. I still love my...
Yes I dropped a battery cover pin into the space between the fender and the strut tower. With some luck, I spotted the pin way down the cavity. 45 minutes later, a wad of duck tape placed on a stick snagged the pin and up it came. These plastic fasteners drive me nuts!
You have to be a MCA member for 90 days before receiving the X-Plan pin number. It gets you dealer cost plus $100. And any Ford factory money is also allowed in the deal.
What brand of tires are you trying to ballance? I went through hell with a new set of Pirelli P-Zeros that were bad. Balanced them three times, roadforce once, no good. Pirelli told me to pound sand. At 1K miles, I tossed them into the dumpster and went with Michelin PS As-3s. Smooth and...
I would do another oil change immediately and see what comes out in the catch pan. Does the oil smell like a heavy concentration of fuel? With new oil, drive the car and see if the issue repeats before heading to the dealer for more work. You do not want diluted oil running through these motors.
Get to the dealer for the latest software update. This update plus the relearning test drive procedure should solve your concerns with slam down shifts and other harsh action. The A10 is an amazing tranny plus you get the remote start feature as a bonus.
If Ford had put the Tremec 6 speed in the Mustang GT from the beginning, more folks would have bought it. The Chinese Getrag is not well received and the word is out. The A10 is so good and makes the GT faster than the GT350. And Ford throws in the terrific remote start feature as a bonus...
Yes the massive engine cover is a muffler for the DI fuel pump. I also have a FR catch can installed and to empty it, I have to only remove the two 10mm nuts that hold the cover down. Once removed, I can tilt the cover up high enough to access the catch can and not touch the strut brace. The...
It looks like Bilstein is the way to go with my stock set up. I do know that the 2018 and up GTs all received the PP1 shocks and struts from the factory according to the Mustang marketing manager to improve ride and handling he claims. At 7K miles, both of my front factory struts had to be...
I have a 2018 GT Premium and wanted to get some feedback on replacement struts and shocks. My car is mostly stock and the ride is choppy on medium to rough road surfaces. I have had both brands on previous cars and they significantly improved the handling and ride. Also I have 19 inch factory...
I had some small dent removed from my old 2006 GT with the aluminum hood. It is a true art to do this work. And the cost was not bad given the results and short time to do the work.
