I think the MBRP race is the best, and the most popular probably among EB owners. The price is more than reasonable, I bought mine on Black Friday sales back in 2017 for $550 if I remember correctly, otherwise they run for about $700...Like any other exhaust, especially if you're new to them...
Out of topic here, but since you mentioned that your EB now has 115,000 miles, I gotta ask, since I plan on keeping mine for hopefully 120,000 (I bought my '16 with 10k and now has 55000 - stock). Has the car given you any major issues after, say, 70k? any major work done? transmission & engine...
Thanks for the input. I have read that there have been some recalls/issues with the digital cluster, something about a recall affecting those equipped with the automatic trans premium cluster. If I do get the '18, id get it without the digital cluster and just add the navigation (awesome that...
My 2016 has become a little problematic thus thinking of trading it in for the 2018, since I see a lot of good deals for them.
I'd like to get some feedback from those a/t owner, without the digital cluster. How is that 10 speed behaving?
Thanks
Thanks, I know that no tune is required for the MIT. Since I DO NOT plan on adding a tune any time soon, I asked if those WITHOUT a tune noticed an improvement by adding the MIT. I would rather know from those without a tune since the tune WOULD be the ONE making the most gains and deff...
I have been looking to get a new mod in my car. I saw this Airaid MIT going for about $160, which I like. I do NOT have a tune, only a MBRP catback + AEM drop in filter. Anyone here without a tune that have the MIT installed along with a drop in filter?
Any consistent performance gains?
Any...
That is good to know that with regular maintenance these cars can go a long run, I assume also with a little bit of luck...
This is my FIRST turbo car and it does concern me that any issues will come up after 100k with the turbo, I plan on keeping the car HOPEFULLY to 120-130k. My baby...
Sorry for the delay. I will remove the engine cover during the weekend to make sure they installed the revised one. I also found a vid on youtube about it.
Interesting that my car NEVER ever had a CEL.
I will report back during the weekend to let you know once I see it.
Yes, I visited my dealer for this concern, since I have the extended warranty that I am paying for might as well use it. As my original post stated the main issue was after fueling up the car acted as if it wanted to stall, noticed the a/f ratio would act all hyper for the first 5 mins after...
This is what they have done: "Performed electr engine diag, self test PCM P1450. Pintest DTC and perform PID data monitor and record PID values for fuel evap system. Test CANP, CANV, and FTP sensors. Inspect and replace canister purge valve due to stuck open purge valve. Retest to verify repair".
Yes, I agree. So far since I've picked up the car from the dealer I've put 300 mi. I've fueled up the car twice and RPM's DID NOT drop like wanting to stall . Also, today the rpms did not drop WHILE driving. So, so far good news. Will be keeping an eye this week to see if maybe this...
thanks for the suggestions!
Quick little update: I fueled up and the car did not act like it wanted to stall. Did keep an eye at the gauge Air/fuel ratio and it dipped occasionally (fluctuated between 15-12). Now, is this NORMAL behavior right after fueling? Once you start driving, say 5 mins...
When I took it in on Monday, I told the service advisor of the department that I had done some research and brought up the sensor and purge valve ONLY as some things people with this issue have been talking about as a possible solution..
I will most definitely be keeping an eye on this during...
I was gonna ask the same thing as turbong. I think there is even a thread here about it not sure the title...
I WISH we could just do that for easy cleaning and solving this type of issues...but I think we are not supposed to? something about the way they are made the cleaning would not go...
Yes, that is always what pops in my head lol what idiot drove my car before me.
I picked up my car from the dealer and this is on the receipt/record:
"Performed electr engine diag, self test PCM P1450 (what code is that?). Pintest DTC and perform PID data monitor and record PID values for...
lol! thanks very much for the link! I will most definitely take a look at it.
I picked up my car from the dealer just a few minutes ago.
This is what they have done: "Performed electr engine diag, self test PCM P1450 (what code is that?). Pintest DTC and perform PID data monitor and record...
