i guess i missed where someone was in the "my car is factory faster than your car" crowd. I think we all agree you should do what ever you enjoy even if facts show you will be slower. thats the whole point we enjoy these performance machines. but you cant pretend no one cares about being faster.
Right, what is your basis for better? If its just enjoyment of banging gears then great, but that cant be measured. for road course manuals are great even the autos are barely making any improvements in numbers.. I am not road coursing around the city im not going to a road course. i enjoy my...
its not every few years.. auto vs manual.. which is faster? talking just factory transmissions stock for stock.. 6r80 was good after a converter and a tune. but the 10 speed is great out the gate. ya if you want to buy the fastest factory car then every few years youre buying again. my goal is...
i gather for you its more preference not that you think its better. I am all for preference. if you have more fun in a manual and feel more confident in one then i have no problems with it. i always got manuals in the past because i was faster than the auto version. but now its not true im...
i just hate his click bait and endless talking.. if youre just here to chit chat im done.. i dont care about his opinion.. show me some car activities or STFU.. to many videos 20-30 mins long with like 5 mins of what i actually want to see. i dont care about the 2 min long intro or them walking...
you can do that either way. I havent encountered any issues with mine.. if i want it down i paddle it down.. if i suddenly want it i go wot and it goes down.. the response is pretty fast. sport mode does a good job keeping the revs up. track is a little too extreme for daily driving.
i believe randy pobst did a test of 2 Cadillacs 1 manual 1 auto and he was faster in the auto. was only like .05 sec or something small but you can really go either way for road course.. its more reliant on driver.
most of us are not "hooning" on the street. *LOSING "control" over certain parts isn't that bad.. the paddles are decent and even under part throttle have respectable response. i have many times paddled mine down to accelerate.
do we think this engine would have any carry over to the new gt500? 5.2L SC. .sounds like the general specs for the new snake. Detune it and make it emissions legal...
ok so you want an mt82 with a tune and a tire to see if it can hit 11s? i thought we were talking stock for stock. or event mt82 on a tire only vs stock auto.. and id say its possible for a tune/tire only m6 car to hit 11s maybe 11.9x but it wouldnt be common.. probably less common than a stock...
415whp to 425 whp is not 25 more whp. how much torque did that GTO have? you act as if no one has tried yet...
Evan Smith of MMFF fame ran a 12.20 which i believe is the standing record for the manual. which from what i can tell most people rank him high as a driver.
ya i remember even as...
ya i loosened the strut bolts to give it room to lift. then the 2 bolts for the cover and popped it off.. snap the oil can on. then put the cover back on.. i thought about leaving the cover off but i decided to put it back on.
lol, lumping mustangs from 05 in with 15+. i mean theyre still mustangs right? nevermind 10 years of technology difference.. and solid axle? camaro was solid too till they stopped making them.. lol real problem is mustangs are too affordable and allow NDMF to get crazy
i dont get why there is any debate between auto. i think most people know the auto is faster, at least in a straight line. If you enjoy manual more then great. if you do roady course or auto cross i understand getting a manual. i think ford did a good job of making the auto a fun experience for...
they should at least be able to get them even left to right. even if you end up with more camber than you had before. should not be 2 degrees off from one side to the other
