  1. SCCA CAM-C Thread

Yep, and I meant to say with reasonable weight reduction, it’s very easy to get into 31xx range. Total effort and it’s sub-3000, which is crazy - which is how at 3300, that baby is 47-48% front biased :(
  2. SCCA CAM-C Thread

An equivalent 2.0T would be 150-200lbs less and make useable autox power. It’s the class killer, fully prepped and well-driven. And you’d never catch me in one - different strokes for different folks :)
  3. SCCA CAM-C Thread

Over and above the significant weight reduction I’d already done: cut out strut towers and go tubular SLA, CF roof, CF trunk lid, tubular rear subframe, monoblock calipers, gut dash, relocate radiator to trunk. This would get me sub-3300 to hopefully ballast up to min at/near 50/50.
  4. SCCA CAM-C Thread

FWIW, I had my car sub-3400 with full interior before going FI and adding all the cooling/safety. The path to lose the last 100lbs in the right places was mapped, but not easy/cheap. Much easier to just get a 2.0T Camaro, do some weight reduction and end up with better than 50/50 to ballastbup...
  5. SCCA CAM-C Thread

as others have already stated, you don't need power to compete in CAM (i'm focusing on multiple disciplines now, including time trialing, where power is very much needed), which is why ESP-built cars do so well when they crossover. lots of wheel/tire, dialed suspension and weight loss are the...
  6. SCCA CAM-C Thread

they put down power better than any street tire i've ever tried, and they wear faster than A7s ever did for me for autox (track wear is much better) - and with no contingency, 0 chance to recoup costs. i sincerely hope they get banned :) ... and no comments from the peanut gallery @jpaulson - i...

  8. Stiff!

yep. my garage floor isn't flat and the mustang always reminds me when it's off the ground and one of the jackstands is moving around supporting nothing!
  9. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

  10. Any Hunter Touchless tire mounting machines in the Denver area for R CF wheels?

i swear there was a way to lookup who has the revolution on hunter's website, but i can't seem to find it now. might be best to give them a call and find out who has one in your area?

  13. Harbor Freight Recalls Jack Stands That Could Suddenly Collapse

I took my money back and ran! Bought (4) of these elsewhere, expect them to last a lot longer without fear of killing me:
  14. Brake fluid change

if you have fluid with a very high wet boiling point (like castrol srf), there really isn't a need to flush anything other than your calipers between races.
  15. Fore FC3 controller under rear seat

Can't help with your desired mounting, but in case you decide on the trunk, I mounted mine under the carpet (since the battery is back there too), easy to access if needed but out of sight otherwise
  16. Radium Surge Tank

Much like Rob, I tried everything before ultimately going to a surge tank. My setup is a radium fuel hat w/ 274 (high pressure 465) ACC-triggered sending unit, and dual 274s (one ACC-triggered, one boost triggered > 3psi) in the surge tank. Before this, I would fuel starve @ 1/2 tank. I’ve...
